I don't think the penfed platinum visa has this credit. I have it for a few years and it never had it.

They're talking about the Pathfinder, which is now a Visa - and the topic of this thread.

Doesn't look like its available for new applications though.

My worst fears when i saw "changes coming" mail from PenFed.
Time to get rid of this card after we use the points.
Haven't opened the mail yet.
DOC says 100$ credit remains.

Still seems like an excellent card for no annual fee, no?

Absolutely, waiting to get one for my wife.

I don't see any reference about the $100 credit in the new card.
I'm using it before I activate the new one just in case.

Got it in email from customer service, you can do the same.

Made a Spirit flight booking at the airport 2/5 and not reimbursed yet.

I had the old Amex Travel Rewards card and they bumped me over to the Pathfinder. The mail I got mentioned that I'd now get the $100 credit, so that's nice, got something that I wasn't expecting. Given that they don't do product changes, this is a nice way to make a card I wouldn't otherwise use useful again.

Did you try adding it to Walmart Pay? Seems like that's the easiest way to do it. Didn't realize that MPX supported it, I've been looking for an easy way to go from a card that has 5X online shopping over to Walmart Pay without too much friction.

Edit: Verified that MPX cards load just fine on Walmart Pay.

For anyone wondering, I was able to use my Global Entry $100 credit this year. So, hopefully that sticks around after the switch to VISA.

rocky_nnc Feb 21, 2020 2:17 pm

Got agreement in mail,. doesn't say anything about new visa benefits.
just the usual blah blah.

applied for Global Entry today just incase.

Has it been confirmed yet whether the $100 travel incidental credit will be on the new Visa?

For others who don't have this card (like me), a post on MyFico says that new applications will re-open on April 1st.

Is anyone able to add the new visa card to digital wallets (Apple Pay)? I keep getting a failure. Guess I need to call them up and see.
