so do you recommend canceling the card first before reapplying for sub or just apply? and should we reduce credit limit if card has high limit

MPX / REI triggered the Pathfinder Air Incidentals Credit.

$100 on 3/25 transaction date looking like MPX/REI, credit arrived on 3/28

While it was pending it was listed as MPX/United.

I just spoke to a PENFED travel rep who claimed that 1000 points (the minimum) can be redeemed towards $10 worth of airline travel for example. From what I read here and on Doctor of Credit, she is dreaming. I also want at least 1 cpp. Just in case AMEX app limits apply to this card, I'm not sure i want to blow a cc app for $100 annual travel credit.

What is wrong to get a $100 free money year over year?? Puzzling. You also get free TSA.

Want to use my PenFed Pathfinder's $100 travel credit. The MPX app is not working. (I keep getting the "purchase failed" error.) Does anyone know if you can use the United Mileage Plus eGift Cards website to purchase gift cards to trigger the credit?

First try logging out of the app and then signing in again. If that doesn't work, try deleting and reinstalling the MPX app. Sometimes that fixes buggy stuff.

Just to confirm, this card is DIFFERENT from the FNBO TravElite card in that you do not have to first activate the Global Entry and airline credit benefits and you don't have to pick 1 airline right?

6/12 - MPX $100 WM GC
7/4 - -$100 airline credit posted

I was getting worried, was longer than most DPs and I had to make a payment on the balance in 5 days.

Looks like it's still alive!

Wow.

Separately, has anyone tried an airline GC purchase recently (post 6/22) and gotten reimbursed.

There are lots of DPs that on regular Amex issued cards that WN, AA, DL are no longer working for reimbursement.

It would seem surprising to still work on Pathfinder - given that they all run on the same payment network - but just wanted to ask.

Thanks for this DP. I used the MPX portal to purchase a GC almost 2 weeks ago. I'm gonna sit tight for a while and see what happens.

What GC did you buy on MPX? There is some variability in what is getting reimbursed, even if it seems like it should not matter.

I got a GC for the container store. Which ones have a history of reimbursement?

In the past I've gotten credits triggered on BestBuy, WalMart, and REI

Last one was most recent, sometime this spring.

These all seem to be YMMV, with data points all over the place.

Snoop around the reddit churning datapoint threads to see others that work/don't

OK, you convinced me. Lots of expenses coming up to meet the MS, too.
