There is a $90 AF and one cannot earn the 90K in one year unless one does $25K spending.
Best way to add to initial purchase bonus of 20K is to add AUs (and quite a few of them, too!).

I believe I got the 50K bonus after the second statement. At that point I had spent >$12,000.

I applied for 90k offer, but my paperwork shows only 20k with first purchase. This is my 3rd card over 2 years. When I got my 2nd card, the same thing happened and I sent secure message and I was told I wasn't eligible for larger bonus. After replying that this was bait and switch, they honored the offer. Do I need to do this again or just meet the 12k spend and see what happens and secure message if it doesn't post? I'd prefer to not spend 12k for nothing.
This is my 2nd within the last 5 months, 3rd in the last 1.5 years

Has anyone gotten the 50k bonus by spending $2,500 within the first 3 months?
I didn't think that was part of the offer but when I called they told me I would get the 50k through either of the following:
* Spending $2,500 within first 3 months
OR
* Spending $12,000 within first 6 months
Not sure if it was a misinformed CSR or not.
UPDATE: Called again to double check. Another CSR also told me that spending $2,500 in first 90 days will result in the 50,000 bonus points.

Are you using them to transfer to HHonors or flying to London? Otherwise it is extremely hard to redeem on Delta, ANA, Virgin America or any partners.

I can confirm that it is NOT 2500. I have spent more than 3000 on my second statement and have not received any bonus.

But so worth it. I love Virgin UC. This card's bonus is an absolute steal. If you spend the 12k and add the authorized users, you are well above the needed amount for an UC RT ticket from ORD to LHR. Absolute steal.

Folks,
I got the card today in the mail. While reviewing the accompanying paperwork, I came across a little piece of paper which detailed my introductory offer (same as the one in the Wiki).
The thing that surprised me was some language saying 'You may be issued an IRS form 1099 that reflects the value of such reward'.
I don't believe I've come across such language on credit-card offers from other banks. Does BoA really send out 1099s for the bonuses?
I've been tripped a long time ago, by Citi TY bonuses received at checking account opening, and the tax hit was significant. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen with BoA Credit Cards.
What have your experiences been?

Wife and I applied over the weekend. I had placed a security freeze on our Experian reports so we both received pending message (did this on purpose to manage Experian inquiries). Called up Analyst (866-811-4108) and requested they pull Equifax report and we were both instantly approved!
