There is a $90 AF and one cannot earn the 90K in one year unless one does $25K spending.
Best way to add to initial purchase bonus of 20K is to add AUs (and quite a few of them, too!).

Are you sure about this? I have met the requirement for 7.5k anniversary bonus, but I have not seen it posted yet. The T&C for new application says
"7,500 anniversary Flying Club miles will be posted to your Flying Club account when you spend a minimum of $15,000 in Net Purchases within the anniversary year with your card. An additional 7,500 anniversary Flying Club miles will be awarded when you spend $25,000 in Net Purchases within the anniversary year with your card. Earned Anniversary Flying Club miles will be posted to your Flying Club account each year within four to six weeks of the anniversary of your card’s open date."

I only fly to Europe once a year max and the flights to London may or may not be convenient for vacations in Europe. So while I love the upper class product, not sure how long it would have taken me to use 300k miles.
Plus now I'm going to Bora Bora! Now time to cash in my American miles for a first class flight to Tahiti ^^

Does anyone know if it's standard procedure for the welcoming letter (the one sent separate from the card itself) to neglect to mention the extra 50k at 12k spend, or does that omission mean we have to call in and beg BOA to honor the offer?

How many people are getting these cards for the Hilton points? I understand VA miles (90k~) will convert to 160k.
Is that right?
If not, what are you all applying for this card for? I have 95k VA miles and no effective way to use them. LHR taxes. Maui is a rip off redemption wise (in first), and there is no way you can get to Australia in business of course (With this few miles).
So I am just genuinely interested in what 80% > of the populace is doing with this card.
I am thinking maybe i will burn them for premium economy to hawaii (2 pax), maybe LHR if I want to bite that bullet (in biz for 2 pax, and have to come up with an additional X amount of miles), and finally I am thinking I should just convert them to Hilton.
