As reported on Doctor of Credit:

Current best public offer: 50k points after $4000 spend in 90 days, first year annual fee waived -
https://www.navyfederal.org/loans-cards/credit-cards/offers/flagship-visa-signature.php

Some existing customers are being targeted for 60k offers, either when they log into the NFCU site or via email with the subject "Earn 60K Bonus Points With Flagship".

Points worth 1 cent each. At worst, this is a 2% back card, with bonus categories:

Now earn 3X the points on all travel purchases, including:
  • Airline and Train Tickets
  • Ride-Sharing Services
  • Public Transit
  • Hotel Stays
  • Tolls
  • Car Rentals
  • Parking
Plus, continue to earn 2X points on everything else.

1-15-22 link says current offer is only 30K pts for 3K spend in 90 days. 1.99% interest for 6 mo for BT.

You must be able to qualify for membership in the Credit Union. Most people qualify as military service members or veterans, DoD civilians, or via family members.

(old post, but this thread has been revived, so I thought I'd add a semi-recent datapoint)

I opened a checking and a savings account earlier this year (February), and I didn't get any hard pulls on any bureaus.

I said it because they are closing accounts that do MS. You can take your chances, but they are tightening up.

Each and every FT (FlyerTalk) page has a Glossary at the very bottom with common abbreviations and acronyms.

And since this is not related to Egypt Air, it's Manufactured Spending, not the airline code.

Can anyone point me to the current bonus? I clicked on the “offer terms” link and couldn’t find any initial spend bonus.

The layout of the splash page changed. The signup bonus was clearly shown near the top of the page at the end of 2018...

I just updated the wiki since I can't find anything about a signup bonus anywhere.

When I had my first card I recall this strictly being for travel rewards. Now on my second with AF coming due in a few months, I am looking to use my rewards and canx in the next couple months. In reading the current rules I can just cash out all my rewards at 1 point = 1 cent. I cannot find a downside to this, especially since I have no planned trips planned where would use this for redemption. Is there a downside to cashing out vice booking travel for redemption that I am missing?

Looks like it’s back with a 50k signup bonus. Any recent dps for those who didn’t have a previous relationship with NFCU? I’m at about 10/24.

Both of those links state that joining NFCU incurs a hard pull. I joined in early February 2018, when I opened just a checking and a savings account, and I did not incur a hard pull at that time. The links also state that only active or retired military are eligible, but that's not exactly true either, some federal contractors are eligible as well (that's how I qualified).
