Need your help—how to maximize sign up bonus on $28k spend!!

Hi all so I need to spend $28k by 2/15/19 & need your help in figuring out which cards to sign up to maximize sign up bonuses!

Will be under 5/24 on 12/01/18 and again on 2/10/19.

Here’s the cards I currently have:
1) CSR
2) Chase Inks Business Cash
3) C.Freedom
4) C.Freedom Unlimited
5) Amex Business Gold
6) Amex SPG
7) Amex SPG business
8) Amex Hilton Honors
9) Amex Hilton Business
10) Citi TY Premier

These are the cards I’ve planned so far:
1) Citi AAbusiness - $4k
2) Chase Ink Business Preferred in 12/01/18 - $5k
3) Chase Ink Business Unlimited in 01/01/19 - $3k
4) Amex Gold 1/05/19 - $2k
5) Amex Blue Business Plus 2/01/19 - $3k

Would you suggest something else? What cards would you sign up for if you were me?

thanks!

What kind of bonus? Hotel pts? Airline miles? Not sure if any bank will give you a number over the ph. Pick a card and then call the bank before you apply. Sorry, not much help.

Just noticed this part.

Somewhat recently applied for a Citi card, but was going out of town for 10 days and knew the physical card would arrive just after I left, and I also knew I was about to book a relatively expensive flight.

Short story short, called Citi, and no dice. Card was waiting when I returned from my trip.

I have not tried with anyone else but my Credit Union, but suspect that that will be a MAJOR hurdle. Perhaps other members can chime in if they had luck as I do seem to recall someone posting that the bank disclosed their number to them prior to arrival of card.

The only CC I remember getting instant card info is AmEx SPG card. After card approval, AmEx gave you the entire card number, Exp date and temp CID. It is good for 15 days. The credit limit is also lower for 15 days.

Not sure if this is still in practice.

They still do that - I applied for an Amex card two weeks ago and they gave me a number - still don't have the card.

I've never had that happen for me, unfortunately. I wonder if there's a set of criteria they go by to determine who gets an instant card number.

I had the option of requesting an instant card # on my Hilton Ascend AMEX as soon as I was approved. I believe it was good to use for 10-15 days, or until you activate your real card. The numbers were not the same, so if you booked something like a hotel with the instant card, you would need to update to the real card # with the hotel when you checked in.

I rarely have single large purchases but will have a tax payment of around 10k due in April. Assuming a minimum 1.87% fee ($187), I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to use cc. I've got two options for non-bonused spend: Amex Blue Biz Plus 2x MR points and Chase Ink Unlimited 1.5x UR. (Would a tax payment be considered a cash equivalent, thus ineligible for Amex 2x?)

I'm wondering if I'm missing a better option. If there's a card that x amount of annual spending will get me better status (and I'd make a point of reaching that spend). My organic spend is around 5k/month but spread around across my and spouse's ccs. Does anything in this list strike anyone as a better cc for big purchase or for targeting annual spend for perk?

Hotel cc: Marriott Bonvoy Biz Amex (Gold), Hyatt (Explorist)
Airline cc: DL Gold, DL Biz, AA Aviator, Possible UA biz (considering applying)
Chase: CSR, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom, Ink Cash, Ink Pref
Amex: Amex Plat, Amex Gold
Citi: Prestige

You need to do research on all the individual CC. In general, It is good to use Tax payment and Plastiq for payments to meet welcome bonus spending, or to reach certain status spending, such as $10k for Radisson free room or $15k for Hyatt free room. AmEx runs a point promotion to spend $25k etc.

If not for those, then you need to find a CC which can pay you more than the fees paid. So you need to get to 2% level. A 2% cash back card can do the trick, such as Citi Double Cash or Fidelity Visa. There are more cards like that.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know about Radisson room. Yes, I've done some research on individual cards but the promos are often temporary (like the current bonus for Marriott of 7500 per $5k or Freedom quarterly bonuses). I did see the Hyatt free room for 15k, but I'm having a hard time using the free 1-4 cat certs I already have. Our travels always seem to take us to properties 5+ cat. Ugh!

My Amex earns at 2x (or 2% level), so that's my back up plan. I'd rather have the points than the cash back b/c I value them more. Just was thinking there might be some other perk out there that I'm not seeing. If Freedom Q2 includes mobile payments/paypal/chase pay, then I'll do that for a portion of the taxes.

Typically I would open a new card to pay income taxes, because the bonus will easily justify the fee. However, if that doesn't work out in a particular year I would use Blue Business Plus. Taxes are not cash equivalents for rewards purposes.

Best credit card to furnish house

Hello. Moving into a new home. Will plan on some large item purchases for furniture and electronics.
Any suggestions for credit cards with large signup bonuses? Ideally they would have downgrade path
after first year.

Thanks.
