US Bank Reconsideration Line: 800-947-1444
Use this phone number to check your application status as well. US Bank does not send you an approval/denial email. Many data points show 8-10 business days for decision is normal. Add another 2-3 weeks after that to receive physical card.

U.S. Bank Fraud Department - 800-260-8469. This is the number to call if your card starts getting declined when you try to make a purchase.

Why is the balance due on my business card always shown as $0?
There are TWO account numbers linked to your business card: The card itself, which shows up in the same website account as any personal cards you may have. This will always show a $0 balance due.

There is a SECOND account - labeled the "Central Bill Account" - with its own account number. You must set up a separate website account with its own username and password to access the Central Bill Account. This is the account that will actually show the balance due and let you schedule a payment. Somewhere in the paperwork you received with the card or the first paper invoice, you should be able to find the Central Bill Account's number.

Setting up separate website account for business card:

These are the instructions that US Bank emailed me:

To enroll in Online Banking for your U.S. Bank Business account, start by going to usbank.com. You do not need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in order to enroll.

Please follow these instructions to enroll in Online Banking to view or pay your account:

1. Click on the Enroll Now link on the right side of the screen.
2. Select the Business Accounts option.
3. View the Terms and Conditions and then select Enroll Now.
4. Select I do not have a U.S. Bank small business checking or savings account.
5. Select I am an authorized officer of a U.S. Bank Business Credit Card.
6. Complete Step 2 of 2.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be able to view your business account in its entirety. When you are making a payment you will need to select the Accounts Payable account number.

Until the end of May 2015: "Bonus Award Night - Redeem Gold Points for two or more consecutive Award Nights and the last night is free. Exclusively for cardmembers.

From June 1 2015: free night after $10,000 spend in a year plus payment of annual fee. Note: can only be used in the U.S.

"New Account Bonus is not available to applicants who have had this Card or another Club Carlson credit card product within the last 12 months."

Forex fee is 3%

I got the card in December. Just called today, complained, ask for fee refund, was transferred to supervisor, was offered either 7500 points or I could cancel the account and get the $75 fee back. I took the points. I'll keep the card and pay the fee each year for the 40k points and gold status.

I read in the comment section of a blog piece that the poster complained to CFPB. US bank not only issued $75 refund but also gave him 50K good will points.

You should have gotten both the 7500 pts and the AF refund because the benefits you signed up for, were drastically reduced shortly after you sign up.

Club Carlson Gold status is near worthless. Upgrade is far and few in between. While some posted they got free brekkies, most people's experiences are zilch recognition. The HHonor Reserve or Surpass give you a really useful HHonors Golds which the breakfast is guaranteed.

I just called and was told in no uncertain terms that no annual fee refund would be issued, though they did issue 7500 points. CFPB complaint, here I come.

I read somewhere that although US bank will ultimately code it as a purchase, they will deny it if the GC amount exceeds your cash advance.

Sorry you missed the bonus. If I got to that point I would perhaps go to my grocery store and buy their gcs, knowing that I would use them. Or buy something returnable/refundable which is a bit dicier; in that case I wait til after bonus posts plus I actually buy something to offset the returnable purchase.

NEVER once has free breakfast due to being Gold. In fact, 80% of the time there was NO recognition whatsoever. Our stays are 100% international - Europe and South Africa if that matters.
New York city and Chelmsford MA.

Did you talk to the supervisor?

I did speak to a supervisor and was still told no. I filed a CFPB complaint and heard back the following morning - they offered to close the account and refund the annual fee.

So they called you after the CFPB complaint hit them - and ultimately did the same thing you asked them in the first place, but wouldn't do it until receiving a CFPB complaint?

Idiotic.

Wow, how weird. Supervisor that cancelled mine two days ago seem to know exactly what was happening and even mentioned that Club Carlson CC was the only one that had a waiver to return the fee, even at more than 30 days after having it paid. So it is amazing to hear there are supervisors not knowing about this and not wanting to return the annual fee.

For me it was so easy to cancel, and everything went exactly as it was mentioned here. So well, at least you got your $75 back.

I was also refused a refund of the annual fee, and have filed a Consumer Financial Protection complaint against US Bank.

Told you guys the fee refund might be temporary thing and they will go back to their normal 30 days policy! Glad, I got 40K bonus 10 months ago and 15k bonus and $75 refund recently. Talk to supervisor right away and if they refuse, ask for supervisor's supervisor. If fails, do the CFPB.

Just called about cancelling my personal and business cards and had no issue getting the AF credited back to me. These are both new accounts opened in early February, so it might have to do with the date you signed up.

That's certainly possible. Either way, anyone wanting to try and recover their annual fee should probably act sooner rather than later. It is gradually becoming harder for people to claim that they find the changes new or surprising. Fairly soon it will actually become reasonable for US Bank to argue that anyone who has kept the card has accepted the new T&C.
