Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

you should look into what actually counted towards your miles again. I made an odd tax payment and it did not post. I am sure 100% it was the one missing from total. for other's benefit - it was 1040.com
WMBP on the other hand worked.

I plan to close it and have them send me a check for the balance. Like you I don't want to get dinged by the fee.

So doing a complete 180 from planning to close my account, I'm thinking of upgrading to the Signature acct. My current bank recently clobbered my benefits so I'm thinking of moving my main balance/emergency fund elsewhere. ST seems reasonable to take my earning from 24k Skypesos to 48k/yr at no incremental cost.

How quick does the account change take effect? I don't want to do more spend in this month until I make the acct change.

I did this. I transferred enough over to meet the requirement, called and asked to convert my account, and they did it instantly on the phone.

It's barely profitable but I enjoy padding my sky miles account as much as possible.

Yes. I agree re padding Skypesos. It's going to get a little harder for me now b/c 2nd BB was shutdown a few days ago. Will have to figure out how to do 8k in a month without the 5k on BB. My AF just hit and I'm going to pay it this year but then see how well I can sustain the spend. I still haven't figured out a good plan for regular MO deposits, so I'll have to rely on BP. What other methods of MS are you guys using? I'm only willing to use this card on debit-only payments, so have only done MO, BP, and BB. I'll probably have to start stock piling MOs for kids' tuition payment so I can spread out the charges months before actual payment due. But then I have gobs of MO in the house.

Do you not earn miles from transactions like Square or Venmo?

I did a venmo payment in 2015 and did receive points but I haven't done one since so not sure if that's still accurate.

These day's I'm just rocking out with a few MO's and normal purchasing patterns. I'm looking forward to dumping this product in 2017. It's not worth the hassle but I'm still on a mad skymiles grab for a 2017 trip of a lifetime!

If you have a partner who hasn't signed up yet, there is a 25k bonus right now per the wiki (and per an email I got). Much better than the measly 5k I got a few years ago. I'm wondering if I could get another bonus by adding teenager to our bank account and ordering a debit. Anyone know age requirements for debits at ST?

UPDATE: no problem with getting teenager a debit. But there is a limitation of 2 skymiles debits per account. FYI.

25k miles in my wife's skymiles account won't do me any good. I need them in mine!

What about 25k plus 48k? I often book separately and it's never been a problem with 2 PNRs. But you have may other limitations.
