Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

Serve loads work for this card but paying off a Citi credit card does not. And then there is always tax payments. It can still work out fine if you already have a Signature Advantage account.

my BB and Serves were shutdown in the first wave. There would be no question if they were still open. Tax payments, if I am not mistaken, are excluded by new ToS. Have anyone tried it since then?
I havent gotten around to moving up to Advantage - dont feel like parking cash there, and moving IRAs is a hassle.

@Stgermainparis BP may be the answer, still have to pay those, at least i get something.

So, this thread still says [EXPIRED] even though the card has been reopened to the public, and there is even a signup bonus.

I know the card is much worse than before, but is there a reason for keeping the [EXPIRED] tag?

Title has now been amended. In the future please just contact one of the mods for these type of housekeeping chores. Thanks!

Thank you for letting me know. I legitimately did not know if there was some other reason for keeping the [EXPIRED] tag, so I wasn't sure if contacting a moderator would be appropriate. But thank you for the information.

Tax payments do NOT qualify any longer for Delta SkyMiles. The new terms and conditions are very clear and all cardholders should read them again. I have been a debit cardholder with a SunTrust predecessor, NS&T Bank of Washington, DC, since 1987. I switched to the Delta SunTrust debit card as soon as it was introduced and earn SkyMiles every month from BB transfers and utility bill payments.

Did you actually try it? The terms are just scare tactics. I made my estimated tax payment for $4000 on Mar 1st when the processors started accepting estimated tax payments, and my miles posted on 3/14 just like they always used to.

Next time you want to post useful info, do it from first-hand experience instead of just because you think everything you read is the truth.

Nice FT snark-so people should just ignore T&Cs?

I "tried it" last year and miles did not post. Other data points report the same, though some, like you, sneak through. If it's worth the fee, take a chance. But don't be surprised if the miles don't post, which is what ST says will be the case.

No, but they shouldn't be all doom and gloom either and post emphatic statements based on T&C. I've had new account bonuses say that it required "direct deposit of a pay check, pension, or social security," but quite often a PayPal deposit was enough to trigger it.

We're talking about a tiny fee for 4000 miles. The benefit of testing was worth it.

I won't be. I know exactly what it said and I'm going to keep doing it until it doesn't.

How many ST debit cards with different Skymiles numbers do you guys have on a single ST account? I'm thinking about adding son to my checking account but he'll need his own debit card.

My annual fee was paid last June so can I count on the fee hitting my account June this year as well? Planning to close it myself before the annual fee. Also do you drain the money first then call in? Don't want to get hit by the $12 min balance fee. Thanks.
