At Barclays, if you already have an online account, the card can also show up there before you get a notification from them. Obviously, that won't work if you don't yet have an online Barclays account from another card. But if it's not your first US card, you presumably do have an online account already.
2) What's the reconsideration line number?
866-408-4064. Only open M>F, 8am>5pm, Eastern.
3) How long after my first purchase does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles for the first-purchase bonus post with the statement showing the initial purchase.
4) For those people who got the targeted offer, how long after spending $750 in each of the 3 months does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles posts two months after the end of the promotion period. For example, if your promo was to spend in June, July and August, the 15k bonus would post with October statement.
5) How can I get the anniversary 10K bonus points without paying the annual fee?
The annual bonus posts on the statement date of the month of anniversary. No need to "kick out" a statement. But if you are worried, you can put a few bucks on the card during that cycle thus generate a statement but it is NOT necessary.
AF is billed the last business day of the month of the anniversary (much better than Chase practice which is on the 1st day of the month). You have 60 days to cancel the card for the AF to be reversed. You also can use SM to cancel card and no need to call.
Note: I called to cancel the card (June, 2014), told them it was because the AF was too high, and they waived it. Still got the 10,000 points and the Companion Certs!!

I churned this card around 10 times in past few years. But today I applied and got this message:
CHECK APPLICATION STATUS
Currently we are unable to offer you a credit card issued by Barclays Bank Delaware. Details on why we could not make you a credit offer will be mailed to you.

A Advantage changed its MM program last year to be restricted to BIS miles only.
So, go for the reward miles and enjoy.

I got denied for the 40k offer saying I wasn't preferred. Rather than fighting with them over the T&C which clearly say nothing about being a preferred US Air member, can I now apply under the 35k offer? Or will they deny that as well because I applied in the last 30 days?
On Feb 17, I applied under the 35k-then-40k links and the app seemed to go through, and I got a pending message. Two weeks later, no response and nobody at Barclays could find any record of it.
On March 4, my 40k app (referred to above) was denied due to not being preferred (no credit pull).
On March 14, my 35k app was denied due to "too many recent app's" (no credit pull).
On myapplicationstatus.com, all three are still showing up.
My question is how long do I have to wait for my prior apps to not be counted anymore? Since it's now day 30 after the Feb 17 app and it still shows up as an app, is the time line 60 days? Any ideas? Could someone go on myapplicationstatus.com and see if their prior apps have dropped off?

The first application did not show up at all at this site until after the second (which did show up) was rejected.

Applied back on 2/26/13 with instant approval for $9,500 CL for 35,000 miles. Prior approval for 9/2/12, so almost six months between applications. CSR did mention 10,000 miles upon anniversary date, annual fee of $89.00 tho I thought was no fee (might be renewal fee) and annual companion certificate.

Did a quick search and can't find anything in regards to the business version of the card. Is there currently a better sign up app for the business card, than the 25k miles with a paid first year annual fee? I'd be all over it, if I could find one with the first year fee waived. Sorry if I missed a post on this, I'm doing this on my phone and can't search super well.

No decision and could not find my App. in their system.
Told to apply again.
Applied Feb 28 for 35k offer and got a message I had already applied in the last 30 days.
Then on March 13, told my App was denied and to wait for their letter. Letter came saying 40k offer had expired and did not pull credit.
Applied again March 18 for 35k offer + 10k anniv bonus + 1st yr fee waived.
I checked with agent and App was in the system , transferred to Security, was asked a few questions and after being put on hold, was approved. Told to call another number to find out benefits and every benefits did match the offer.
So the answer is: to wait at least 30 days to re-apply. It will show the other dates you applied, but after selecting the latest one, it should process it correctly. The 35k offer link still worked yesterday.
The agents have been getting many calls from unhappy applicants but there is "nothing" they can do. It's a glitch.

There were some questions regarding the companion pass...
I was approved in early February and had not received my welcome kit with the companion pass. I called Saturday (3-16) and was told that it was mailed on Feb 19th using 3rd class and that it was entirely possible that it would take 30 days to arrive... Checked my mailbox later that same day and there it was!

Is it just me or did they get rid of the icon that showed up by your name ("DMS" or something similar?). It showed up a few days ago but I just logged in and it seems to have disappeared. Odd.
