It's in the same form as the EU Vaccination cert.

It states: "Disease recovered from: Covid-19"
Issued by: Ministry of Health,Welfare and Sport
Valid from: xxx
And a QR code etc.
No, you need both.

It’s not supposed to be sufficient, but I’ve seen the Danish-issued digital ones be repeatedly accepted by various European and US airlines as sufficient anyway without any letter and without presentation of any “no more than one calendar day before travel” test. YMMV, but I haven’t seen a single rejection from travel party members or others using them without a letter. Having a back-up plan is advisable, as and how useful for a trip.
