MSY is Huge for CO. but as it plays now, us CO'ers are stuck at the three seat bar near security. HP and B6 are gone. maybe they could do a PC in that area. that would be GREAT!
The bar in the SC is also 3 seats and you have to leave room for people walking over for drinks.

The staff there is really nice. I think that they know most of the regulars by name and will miss the PC members who use the SC.

MSY is huge for CO. The tourism is there but most folks don't realize the number of pax generated by the oil rig servicing businesses, which is why there are about the same number of flights each day MSY-IAH as IAH-EWR. Tomorrow there are 12 flights, 11 mainlline, with about 1500 seats. It's one of CO's larger non-hubs.

Any definitive word on DTW yet? All I've read here appear to be rumors.

I've heard nothing. Even spent some time with a DTW employee who had zero information or rumors to spread.

I can provide more context to the FLL question.

US will *not* (thank goodness) be moving to T1. The airport is filling T1 West with Allegient (blech!) and Virgin America, who starts FLL service in November.

Whether or not AC moves to T1 is still up in the air.

DL lounge attendant said CO would be moving to North Terminal in January, and lounge access would continue until then. Not sure how reliable, but information nonetheless.

Kiss of death for one of the best Presidents Clubs in the system, and wipes out some of the last vestiges of the CO hub at DEN.

I hope this isn't imminent.

Any more news from IAH Terminal A?

Does anyone have a date for the train to open to Term A? Is there now a bus from the UA side connecting to CO without having to clear security until the train begins?

My guess now is that UA will not be moving back to the other side....where the PC is located. It appears that DL enlarged their checkin area on the side where they are (partly to accomodate the Alaska operations which they evidently are handling)...why would they enlarge over there if they were moving back to the other side?

Is that why the Mickey Something Terminal is being fixed up? Is that D or just more of C?

So what Mickey Leland Terminal going to be used for? Any idea or just more space for the overflow of C?

Well, if it's true, it's probably going to happen in the next couple of years.

Well, Mickey Leland, or Terminal D, has 3 gates, D1, D2, and D3 that are not widebody gates and have rarely been used since E has opened up, or at least the times I'm there. The rest of D is primarily used for other internationals. Check-in and baggage would be interesting. Would they utilize D or C since those 3 gates are closer to C ticketing and baggage then they are to D. Also, I wonder if D still has that extra baggage carousel for those that did not need to go through US CBP.

On a different note, has there been any mention of CO passengers being able to use UA check-in kiosks and vice versa similar to what CO and NW did a few years ago?
