Will it have staff representing from each airline that can deal with each airlines problems(i.e. connections, standby's etc.)?

I think it's about time CO Insider comments on the situation at BOS. Or we can ask him on Wednesday.

I have no idea. What details there are, including links to press releases and such, can be found in this thread.

Well, unless CO has signed a lease with MassPort I wouldn't expect him to say anything. You can ask, but it wouldn't be appropriate for him to spill the beans, so to speak, until they are ready to actually make the announcement public. Has Delta officially made this announcement public yet? I know that it is being circulated in internal communications or something, but I haven't seen the official announcement from them.

Nope...still 9. The London closing is LGW; the new lounge is LHR.

Nothing public yet (they still want to be able to sell CRC memberships! ), but if you email them they will confirm the closing CRC's...

tech yep, but I wouldnt be counting any place where I couldnt fly into, unless does DL still expect to fly into LGW?

Kind of like saying since DL is leaving LGW that DL will stop flying to London as it ceases flights to LGW starting say 3/29. w/o saying that its starting instead to fly into LHR.

No different then if DL pulls out of ORD and goes into MDW instead. Of cause it would close its CRC at ORD but being its Chicago you know they will be operating 1 at MDW. So if 1 will be closing in any given city and another opening up there will be a zero sum loss/gain

Much like CO, DL will continue to operate a number of flights daily into LGW. Right now I see 2x daily to ATL, 1x JFK and 1x CVG on the schedule through the summer and into the fall. The are most definitely not pulling out of LGW.

I was under the impression that DL was moving everything over to LHR, if this is true that they will still be remaining at LGW then it is very bad news and kind of dumb of DL with at least 4 flights still remaining. Could be they will outsource it, cant see them not having something for the BE people, but that will leave PC people out.

CO did the same thing (BF pax get EK access) and had no qualms about the approach. I think that both carriers see LHR as the high yield option where all efforts should be focused and LGW as a vestige that they have to continue to support.

Closing the dedicated BE lounges is a huge downgrade to the BE product, IMO.

BOS is a concern. I have only used the one in the main part of term A, seems like the one stated to close. It's a really nice club. New, elegant, and well placed. I only use DL to BOS for DCA service and the flight have, maybe that's switching as well, keft from the main part of A.

If there was a merger with NW I would assume some club closures. Bit before that seems strange.

But even in a merger DL/NW - I would see NW moving over to BOS term A. Maybe NW will take over the BOS main terminal lounge. Maybe CO will get pushed over to Term E.

The NW gate area at BOS Term E is pretty bad. The NW WC is also not well placed.

Haven't used the NW WC in BOS because there is no NW/DCA service. Actually gave up on CO fater too many delays in/out ewr. I have heard the NW gates. etc at BOS are not ideal. The new Term A is really a nice facility. I have flown into that terminal for years (remember Eastern then CO used that term for years). I also like it becuase its the firts stop on the car rental shuttles.

CO's deal is with MASSPORT not DL, DL was forced to give up gates in Terminal A during their bankruptcy when it became clear they were not going to be able to pay MASSPORT. MASSPORT thus took six gates and signed a lease with CO for those gates, DL has no authority with regards to the leases held on those gates. DL and NWA could merge tomorrow but that still would not alter the lease CO has on those gates, as the lease is with MASSPORT who owns those gates.

NWA could have negotiated to lease those gates, however they also were in bankruptcy and not in position to move into the better digs at Logan.
