LA isn't really a touristy place. Just go to any book store and see how many tourist books you can find on LA.

True, but I haven't been there in many years myself and I could finally break my In-n-Out cherry.

We'll Hollywood Blvd. is now pretty dead except at Hollywood and Vine which is the only bit of life there these days.

EDIT: Mean Hollywood and Highland. It's dead at Vine now.

Enough of the In-N-Out talk. It's just cruel considering that it's fast approaching 11pm here and I haven't had dinner yet :(:D

I still get a kick out of the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica.

Something needs to open up in that part of the street. It's a creepy area.

There is also a Restaurant called Hollywood & Vine, that has been open for a few years, it became pretty popular because everyone said that area would be coming back.

Well, it looks like it's room service for me, unless any one has a late night dining suggestion near the Meridien in Frankfurt.

Other than the burger you're not missing much IMO.

The beaches around LA are decent enough and I finally enjoyed a visit to LA doing that a couple weeks back but the "tourist" stuff there mostly sucks.

Agreed, stay in SAN if you visit, more than enough to keep one busy for a weekend. LA is a hole.
