Wow. Fiancee saw the fares to SAN and said that we should fly in to SAN and go do the touristy LAX thing for a day or two. She's really starting to learn. :-:

LA isn't really a touristy place. Just go to any book store and see how many tourist books you can find on LA.

True, but I haven't been there in many years myself and I could finally break my In-n-Out cherry.

We'll Hollywood Blvd. is now pretty dead except at Hollywood and Vine which is the only bit of life there these days.

There is also a Restaurant called Hollywood & Vine, that has been open for a few years, it became pretty popular because everyone said that area would be coming back.

Other than the burger you're not missing much IMO.

The beaches around LA are decent enough and I finally enjoyed a visit to LA doing that a couple weeks back but the "tourist" stuff there mostly sucks.
