Happy Friday and Merry Christmas, all. Having now had a reasonably proper SQ experience I understand what most of the fuss is about. I'd still need to experience it ex-SIN for the full treatment, but it was pretty darn good last night. I was quite impressed. Couple little nits to pick, but very well played overall. Got a 4ish hour layover in FRA now. Wife is asleep on the seat next to me. Gonna go lounge hop and get some photos. :p |
Security in FRA is stupid. Would not let me pass through to use the sky train to go over to the new Tower lounge. So I emigrated into Germany/Schengen for 15 minutes and walked over. Everyone along the way told me I was in the wrong place but I kept mentioning the lounge and eventually made my way here. Just like I remember it from the *MegaDo. :D
The German keyboard layout is strange. |
Good morning, Box.
Guten tag, sbm12. Glad the flight lived up to the expectations. Have a great time! |

Merry Xmas to all those observing. Have fun with the presents.
I am currently working on my business flights for the first quarter of next year and this question came up. I am booking flights back to the West Coast and I noticed that B fares come up as 150% on CO flights with CO metal but only 100% on CO:UA code-share flights (same B booking class, Co flight #, UA metal). Is this correct or just a CO.com glitch that should be reported? (if not done already). Also, I really love the new UA alliance. I not only have multiple choices to go to my destination but the prices really vary a lot depending upon what city you choose to connect in (almost $150/flight difference in the same fare category). Nice job CO! Got to go to morning minyon now but will look for the answer when I get back. |
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Morning, Box.
Merry Christmas. Greetings from PBI, where Useless has CXLD my original flight home...now departing at noon, and secured my exit row on that flight as well. Agents in PBI could not have been better - they even tried to get me home quicker by putting me thru CLT on an earlier departure. No dice, and pretty good handling of a minor IRROP. monitor had eggs and coffee with me on the (smoke-free) screened-in porch and gave me a tremendously convenient ride up here. ^ to him for waking up early on Christmas. Off to get some go-juice from the Starbucks in Concourse B...I love flying on Christmas morning - it's dead quiet in here. |
