Not sure what's worse, making that drive or going Biden-style.

Driving is far, far, worse than taking the train, IMO.

Book and movie diverged very quickly but both were very good.

I heard from several that the movie was only very loosely based on the book. Makes sense as the original didn't have much mass appeal, IMO.

I, too, read only in transit it seems. I get 15 minutes in the morning and evening on the subway and as much as I can handle on planes.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity for setting up a lawn chair, cooler of Belgian Ale, and camcorder. :-:

That's basically what I'm going to do. I can't wait. Watching people act incompetently in the snow (usually transplanted Southerners and Westerners, in the case of DC) is a favorite pastime for someone who grew up in an area where eight inches of snow in one day is considered ho-hum. One flake of snow here and people cease to act rationally. It's only a matter of time before someone asks me to drive them somewhere this weekend because they are afraid of driving in the snow.

I always have bad luck on Amtrak. Of course, I always have bad luck transiting NJ in my car too.

I just need to move.

sbm12, I caught the Daily Show segment on the TSA debacle last night (it ran earlier in the week, I TiVo it). It didn't mention you personally, but you know you've hit the big time when Jon Stewart dedicates 4 minutes to something you're involved in. Good on ya, mate. ^

I may look into a 'mattress run' from the 1st on -- at this point I will be back at EWR on the 1st -- but can certainly plan to book some stays starting that night until the 3rd!:D

If you poop while posting on FT, does it make miles?

Nope, but I'm not complaining. I do noon to 1330 with the same resource room crew of eight kids and their aide, and then I have 7th grade HHonors English til 1445. Then it's a mad dash home and some errands before the Devils game tonight. Thank you again to the Boxers who returned their F&B cards - more gyros for me.

You see, most people have a worry box. The worry box is always full. Sometimes it may have lots of little worries in it; other times it may have one huge worry and a few other smaller worries to keep it full. But the worry box is always full.

I believe the same thing may apply to , especially if you ask belynch. You may have removed this particular  from your  box, but something else will come along soon enough to fill it back up.

It is the  of things.

Testify!:-:

On the verge of purchasing an iPhone. Anyone want to talk me out of it? :p

I just got one. As others have said, AT&T can be a big bag of , but I have to admit as an Apple Fan and tech lover, the darn thing is pretty cool IMHO.:-:

Pardon moi, but details of my potential nudity are lower on the  standby list than all of the posting surrounding Brituchenite's colonoscopy. ;)
