I have heard some reports that it will be valid for 10 years for US Citizens,
Canucks pay around USD $70 single entry :-:

Huge . I will be enjoying the continuing validity of my Chilean visa until it expires, then.

Also, screw you guys, I'm going to Uruguay. http://www.rolleye.com/southpark.gif

There is a loophole, the fee is suppossed to be at EZE only, fly to SCL and take the bus or a short flug to Mendoza.

Isn't there a $100 entry tax at SCL?

If so, perhaps the way around it all is to fly to Quito or Lima and simply travel by bus throughout South America.

Yes, but an international-international connection in SCL avoids it.

Also, the Chilean visa is good for the life of the passport.

Lima has a ~$45 departure tax, and I believe Ecuador has one, too.

You just pay at the airport upon entry into the country. They accept Visa, MC, and Amex (and cash).
