@gbryan84: we are going to the screening in Philly tonight.

I just looked at my MR itinerary again, and it hasn't changed...four 739's scheduled. Crossing my fingers for a retrojet and for taking advantage of a 20F config the whole trip.

I have been advised that my first poop in the new apartment has been invalidated by those in power. The new toilet seat was just installed, so the odometer is at zero as of now.

Houston/Galveston NWS Discussion...

Code:

HOWEVER THIS RESPITE TO BE SHORT-LIVED AS MODELS CONTINUE TO FCST
A DECENT SHOT OF WINTER WX FOR SE TX ON FRI. GFS REMAINS THE MOST
CONSISTENT/PERSISTENT WITH THE IDEA OF SNOW (WITH ACCUMULATIONS!)
AS THE EXITING STORM SYSTEM HELPS DRAW A COLD FRONT DOWN FROM THE
NORTHERN PLAINS INTO THE REGION TODAY. THE STRONGEST CAA WITH THE
FRONT NOT EXPECTED UNTIL LATE THU AS THE ASSOCIATED SFC HIGH ALSO
BEGINS TO BUILD SWD INTO THE STATE. ALOFT...THE LINGERING TROFFI-
NESS WILL BEGIN TO DEEPEN OUT WEST AS A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SHORT-
WAVE DEVELOPS IN THE LEE OF THE ROCKIES AND BEGINS TO DIG/MOVE TO
THE EAST AOA THU NIGHT/EARLY FRI. AS THIS SYSTEM STRENGTHENS...IT
WILL BEGIN TO TAP INTO SOME MOISTURE VIA THE SUBTROPICAL JET. AND
THEN THE FUN BEGINS FOR FRI. A DEEP COLD LAYER WITH TEMPS FALLING
TO AT/BELOW FREEZING COMBINED WITH VERY STRONG LIFT/DYNAMICS WITH
INCREASING MOISTURE WILL HELP POINT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF SNOW OR
A MIX OF RAIN/SNOW STARTING OVER OUR NWRN AREAS EARLY FRI MORNING
THEN PERHAPS REACHING THE I-10 CORRIDOR BY THE LATE MORNING HOURS.
ADDITIONALLY THE POTENTIAL IS THERE FOR AT LEAST A WINTRY MIX FOR
MOST OF THE CWA FRI EVENING/NIGHT AS TEMPS PLUMMET TO AT/NEAR 32F.

THE BEAR WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT.

Excellent! :D

windwalker, icurhere2(?) and others if any of you have access to Harris Teeter, they have suprisingly good Chili for "store prepared ready to eat fare"!

No Harris Teeter in my town yet - I had one when I lived in Reston, VA and there's talk of building one here.

Ya' know "El Nino" means "The Nino." Going back to our earlier discussion, this is why I got secondary degrees as to be edumucated and stuff ....

So I've gotten my secret santa santee from another forum I use and he is a British dude living in Japan for school who doesn't like anime (and who could blame him). Any suggestions on what to get him?

Trinkets that have culturally insensitive references to "American Manifest Destiny" and/or "American Hegemony" in Europe during the last 100 years or so would be my choice.:D:D

Not a bad choice; so far I'm sending one of my old California license plates and this mousepad.
