I don't know about you but it sounds like there was dinner on the transcon and enough for dinner in the lounge.

Is it worth it to me to post two space-avail CO upgrade certs in CC, or is the community so biz-travel heavy that no one will attempt flying at off-peak times when they do actually work?

1500+ miles does get choice of hot dinners. I had a decent cold dinner last weekend on the ATL-BOS (just over 900 miles) with a passable sandwich and a great fruit salad.

Well time to head to the plane back to JFK. Oh, the adventure!:D

i just took a dose of nyquil and drank mountain dew, it is a race to see which works first.

If they are worthless crap, then how is it that I have sat in F without status on five of previous 12 CO segments? Three of those five involved upgrading more than one person, too. Some of those tickets were not even revenue tickets. 5 for 12 isn't brag-worthy for a Plat, but it's quite nice for a nobody.

Nyquil is winning. I guess being up since 5am may have something to do with it.

dunno, lucky. These must not be restricted fare class ones? i have some from before I was elite, it was basically a y/b upgrade cert. something I get free for a long time now. I think mine expired, i need to pull that shoebox and make some room.
(The correct answer is that I'm good and not lucky. I travel off-peak when F isn't packed.) |

Nope, no fare class restriction. Do the Chase card ones have fare bucket limitations? If so, it's no wonder that the road warrior bunch think they're worthless.
(The correct answer is that I'm good and not lucky. I travel off-peak when F isn't packed.) Mine came directly from CO after some IRROPs that were really no issue at all (got there sooner). |

Yes, it was the 5 flight so dinner was chicken or pasta. I did not eat as I was not hungry from partaking in the SC of the food offerings.
CO still has the overall best domestic F food. I know there are exceptions, but given the overall picture, CO's domestic F food is hard to beat when you look at the competition. NW used to do pretty well too, but since they've been assimilated to become a part of The Awesome™ that is The World's Biggest Airline™, domestic F meal service on NW just isn't what it once was. |
