Does this go back to the policy of getting you as far as they can on their own metal?

I think so. I put in EWR-YVR to see what showed up. There were some interesting CO only segments but none of the partners would show up. I think one was EWR-CLE-TPA-IAH-YVR.

It actually provides practical training before you are turned loose on the world.

(paraphrase):
Lisa Vito: What did they teach you in law school?
Vinnie: Contracts. For Procedure, you go to court and watch, or the firm that hires you teaches it to you.

It could also just be that all of the UA availability hasn't been loaded on CO.com...

No thanks. I think I'll stick to generic personal injury, trucking, admiralty/maritime, air crash litigation, products, and drugs/medical-devices.

cough, electronic discovery, cough, international arbitration, cough, :D

I always enjoy working with the first years when I do large discovery cases and doc reviews. All full of piss and vinegar that is oh so quickly drained from them when they realize they are really just well paid doc clerks. :)

Arbitration is actually one of the courses that fits my scheduling constraints. ^

The market for PI attorneys is a bit saturated in Houston at the moment, especially in the 0-2 years experience bracket. There are some intriguing openings in other parts of the state, but overall prospects are nowhere near as good as a year ago.

Somehow I do not think everything will be in sync for a couple days.

The land outside Teh Box is a veritable mess right now. It is too much for me to keep up with. :(

It could be that, but I think they're just trying to keep us on their metal.

I also think we're going to see a couple of more big things on Nov. 1.

It will take a while for the dust to settle.

There is going to be a strong need for attorneys who are comfortable working in international environments, whether it be for typical litigation or the growing number of investigations from WDC & NYC.

I think the big things to come will mostly involve the partnership with UA. After that is all announced/implemented, I think you'll see CO let up a little on their attempt to keep you on their own metal.
