On one hand I'd agree, but without getting into specifics, I always thought the UA system was too complicated and once I learned enough about it, it was easy to make the leap into thinking that it was a cash drain on the company. I had this discussion with fozz recently...proponents of the airline wish it to succeed, but then exploit every loophole in the book. Said proponents then piss and moan that the airline is failing financially. I do not buy the defense that says that the airline put those loopholes there for me to exploit. That is, to be blunt about it, two-faced.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

1) Are there taxes to be paid on the award?
2) Randy's comment about picking a second random number in case the first person can't make it - does that mean the award wouldn't be transferrable to another FTer of the winner's choice? This may just be speculation since we can't read Randy's mind.

1) No, unless one declares it. Randy won't be issuing a 1099.
2) Whatever.

Off to dinner for my wife's brithday. ^^

G'night, folks.

Yup, I can see where you are coming from. ;)

1) Randy made it clear to me that everything is on him. I told him that I lived 90 miles from EWR and he still offered me a lift to ORD. Pretty sweet deal.

2) A second random post was picked as a contingency. I got no information past that.

I guess I don't need anyone to ask about the Star polo shirts. I'll go ask Mr. Albrecht himself. :D

I truly hope that was the last hideously hot/humid run I'll have this year. :-:

I did mention something to that effect. If I was such a long shot to win the trip, who knows? I might come back from the trip with a job. :-:

I guess I should let the FTE instructor know.

Just finished a Fuddrucker burger at IAD. One of the better Fuddrucker I've had at an airport. I'm impressed.

Fuddruckers is generally pretty good. I didn't know they had airport locations...are you surprised because their airport outposts are usually that much worse?

Yeah, most airport fuddruckers have not been very good.

Also, saw intended firearm DO you posted, I won't be able to attend, will still be in Australia at the time.

I haven't ever been to IAH A when it is open, it doesn't open early, and closes promptly at 8pm
