I also decided to have a few photos taken for mom while I was traveling in East TN. I've really lost weight - the shirt in the black/white photo is the very same as the photo that made me realize I needed to diet.

I can now smell the candle I lit a few hours ago. I got whacked pretty well.

Yeah, but if memory serves you're a (semi)fictional character in a Hardy Boys book. Sooner or later we all get in the paper, even if it's just the Obit section. But a novel is immortality.

Good way to look at it. ^

Are those your dogs?

Following in Olton Hall's footsteps, I looked at the stats for my most popular photos on Flickr:

1. Photo with Larry Kellner
2. My Anti-Sully Photo - I had presumed that would be #1
3. 737-900 Landing Gear Well (seriously?)

That landing gear well is a fascinating place. I wish I hadn't lost my flash head; I could have had much better shots than what I have.

Does anyone know how to delete Media Center from a Dell laptop or am I going to have to get angry at the source?:D

My XPS has been a big bucket of flake but Google is not showing me the correct way to get the media center yuckiness off the old laptop.

Forgive me for not going back and trying to find the source/reference of this. Were you injured in some way that your sense of smell was diminished?

Serious question, just askin'...

I thought media center was integrated into the shell, so the only way to get rid of it was to flatten and reinstall? I could be wrong as I haven't messed with media center much; sbm12 probably knows off the top of his head.

Someone knocked the crap out of his nose, requiring a trip to urgent care for xrays and consultation.

Billy Joel's version of Hard Day's Night is arguably better than the original.

No - those are underpressure's dogs; I'm really a cat person unless the dog's a retriever.

I wish I were able to maneuver around the individual whose dome I captured. I'll crop the photo one day.

Understand - I went to the Urgent Care tonight after taking an elbow to the nose playing racquetball and bleeding almost an hour. A bit bruised but the x-rays came out without a break or crack.

LOL I'm not sure!! I'm an enclosure person so can't really deal with the software stuff. I know some wierdos (read: some friends) at the *large computer company up teh street* so perhaps I can enlist their help.. but my hdd may crash before I get a straight answer from them. Grr.. it (hdd) is making odd pinging noises every time I close the laptop to "sleep". And the only time this happens is when Media Center is acting up. Boo.

Ah. Glad to hear it was nothing serious. When I read "loss of sense," well, if associated with head blows, I'm sure you know that that could be symptomatic of something serious.
