I'm guessing this is logistical with needing to get a fully loaded plane off the ground at SNA.

Yep. I didn't catch that the first time I skimmed the release.

This is the equip. CO is using EWR - SNA as well.

In other news, aloha box. Man I love chorizo burritos, but it hampers my usual lunch-time postings.

It just hit me - SNA-HNL makes perfect sense. Larry must be buying a home on the North shore of Oahu for his retirement. @:-)

:D

Larry and Gordon have a winery supposedly there in napa, wonder if SFO-HNL or SMF-HNL is coming soon :D

Thanks.

So it's similar to e-miles? I was invited to that a while ago but never to e-rewards.

Yep, Gordon was here a few weeks ago to visit the winery. Everyone at SFO wants that flight to return. I don't think it's going to happen because of the amounts of flights UA offers to HNL. SMF can't even keep a non-stop EWR flight so that isn't going to happen either.

e-miles sucks. Never any surveys and takes too long to do them for a tiny amount of 'reward' miles.

but yes it is invite only like emiles, let me see if i have a e-rewards invite I can fwd to you :)

Steph3n Oct 7, 2009 12:06 pm

do you have a priority club number for the IC Hotels group?

i have a valid invite if you have one.

CO is allowing free changes today due to the high winds at EWR. That's a new one...

Computer Hardware question for the Box. I've been given a task to find someone a laptop computer around $500 + tax. Not a net book but a laptop. Needed for surfing and word for job searches. Any thoughts. What would be the minimum RAM for Vista? Cheap stuff seems to have an ultra low 2GB but the price seems to sky rocket going to 3GB.

Look at the weekend specials at Staples, Office Depot and Officemax.

They generally will have something in the $350 range after rebate.

oops getting a bit customer friendly maybe? I don't know, I think that could open a door to free changes every day. :D

I remember seeing the D10 a few times at SFO getting ready to leave for HNL

Also, HA still flies SMF-HNL if I remember correctly so there really isn't much to gain by trying that route.
