Well, you could walk the walk and come say hello! You must be flying "the other carrier." :D

Indeed. Can you get to Terminal 1 from Terminal 3 inside of security? If so, and you see a random bald guy saying hello to you, that's me.

That sounds terrible.

Here's a link to my pics from Japan. What are you interested in doing?

Things that I liked about Tokyo include (but not limited to) a boat trip down the Sumida, the aforementioned fish market, izakaya, Asakusa. I wasn't able to go to the Imperial Palace, Akihabara, see sumo or visit Sony. If I was going in August I'd try to go to a baseball game.

Thanks everyone! It was nice to have the job fairy finally hit me. I start Thursday morning. Probably off next weekend, then I'll be working odd hours, but at least I will be working.

Good! That is a nice quick start too.

Now it is time for me to get all dressed up for work pictures

Still waiting to hear about my better opportunity. Although someone from another office has told me that I was the recommended candidate.

Hope those 12 boxes weren't worth precisely $2,500 each. That would be over 500 pounts.

I'm going to have a new PR photo taken next week with at least a goatee. Doesn't matter if I'm in old job or new.

Here's the contract squabble I'm currently dealing with:

A. Listed rate of compensation to vendor is $5,000
B. Maximum total liability to vendor is listed as $400

Neither party to the proposed contract understands why this is a problem.

My wife was a recommended candidate for a position, and wasn't hired in Philly. Don't count your eggs before they hatch! :p

I know all about that process. I was hoping to either hear today or tomorrow (the leave I had previously requested won't be acted upon until the other position is determined).

Why do I need to escape to a better opportunity? One of my constituents was just taken down for doing something so stupid that three jurisdictions were involved.

Just made myself a Montreal-rubbed steak sandwich with small potato rounds on the side. Really good stuff. ^

No, unfortunately you can't. This is one airport that loves to employee thousands of TSA workers due to it's old fashion layout.

Hope to meet you next time you fly thru or to SFO.

So far, dinner looks like it will be salmon and a baked potato. Don't know what else, but there has to be something else.

Ironically, they are actually private contractors in SFO, not TSA schmoes.

I should be in town on the 26th of September, I think, flying out on B6 at midnight.
