Anyone know the BD redemption rule for differentiating between a stopover and a connection? Is it anything under 24 hours, like with CO?
e.g., If I want to do WVB-JNB-EZE, but the WVB-JNB requires an overnight stay of less than 24 hours, does that count against me as a stopover? Also you might want to look at this:

Looking for interesting ways to break up a trip to NZ, I wrote a script to look for indirect routes between zones that were effectively free. For example, Z1-Z7 is 80k miles base, but you can go via Z10 for the same amount (50k+30k). Think of it as a way of getting three free stopovers instead of just one!
These three are actually cheaper if you detour:
These are the same amount with the detour:
Hope this is useful to someone else too. |

I'm tempted to post in the next "How do you live through a EWR-TPAC flight" thread a comment about the mortality rate only being 5%. On a fully loaded 777 it's only 11 people.:-:

Yes, but I need the stopover in EZE, as I plan to do WVB-JNB-EZE-IAD-IAH.
EZE and SJU are in the same zone @:-) |

what about splitting into one ways , or as a last resort Intra zone 4
EZE and SJU are in the same zone @:-) I finally found a routing that works for xmas/new-year's Looks like I can do: IAH-ORD-IST(2 day Stopover)-JNB-WVB(4 days in Swakopmund)-JNB(overnight in Pretoria)-EZE(30 Hours)-IAD-IAH |

I just had to confront and Regulate some guy who tried to cut ahead of me in the slow moving elite TSA line at DCA a few minutes ago. He claimed he was just "moving ahead" in pace with the line as he blatantly cut in front of me as I grabbed a bin from the bin tray just before the conveyor belt.
For those who care, he had a DL F boarding pass. Didn't see which city he was headed to, but my guess is ATL. |

As a last resort i may just book it as an open-jaw, and start the back-half in JNB, then just buy a one-way ticket WVB-JNB (About $270a/i on SA).

Michael Jackson is back in the news, at least here in Houston. The feds raided the office of the doctor that took care of him when he died.

My second attempt at a daypack for my dSLR seems to have been a success. I ended up with the Lowepro Fastpack 100 and while it is a bit smaller than I wanted, I think it will do. ^

Interesting. That means I have to go back to the chunk of crap known as Blackberry App World. What a fail that thing is.
