Of course, this is The Box so it's always beer o'clock.

This week it is wine o'clock or Chopin vodka o'clock.

I will return to my normal beer o'clock schedule when passover ends. :p

The selection of passengers for op-ups seem to be so random. My parents (Gold & Silver) were not one of the five people selected to move forward on their flight to DUB last week. Before check-in, they were the only two in the emergency exit rows, so it seemed unlikely that any Plats were on board. It seems like sometimes they do it by fare class and other times they do it by elite status. Good luck!

There's plenty here - but it's flat & warm of course!

Was looking for "the box" - as per new thread today - and guess I have found it?

Don't have enough beer to read through 45,000+ posts - wow that's some thread!...

:)

I take it you won't be having any ham in HAM then? Ask the GA's if there is any operational reason that you can get an upgrade. I did that once with VS and got moved upstairs to PE on a 747.

The planes are taking off the wrong way at PHL...northbound takeoffs are much more difficult to shoot.

I don't have issues with your flat and warm. It doesn't give me a hangover.

FA paying a bit of attention to me? LOL oh monitor, you forgot that I'm 1K. Pursers on UA may treat GMs like dirt, but as 1K, I'm always treated nicely ;) On CO, that's a whole different story.

Of course you do. UA's food is fit neither for man nor beast.

Domestically, CO is better, but international C and F, UA is far superior.

You actually get one that worked?

Have never had a problem. As of April 1, they introduced brand new larger and comfortable headsets. Now with CO 752, I've flown enough 752s to have inop personal TVs (with those stupid sticker on them). No compensation. As an 1K on UA, if the IFE doesn't work, they give me a voucher for 5000 miles. Regardless, at least UA gives you IFE...on CO, nothing unless you are on 752.

Btw, you left out the yummy appletini and raspberry mojitos, as well as luxurious Westin Heavenly blankets, pillows, and white tea scented hand clothes for every passengers in C and F.

And, this is just C...there's no comparison with UA p.s. F.

We will cross our fingers for you. That would be an awesome way to start a mileage run.

I have been OpUped as a Gold on an L fare, so think positive.

Is it worthwhile to chat up the Grey Coat?

UA sounds appealing if you're 1K or GS...but sooner or later the gravy train will derail.

Funny, I'm leaving Chi-town, now at ORD, after my business meeting.

I'm going to treat myself while here a bit - I get two free breakfasts a day (anyone in CHI?) and I'm going to have lunch at The Palm tomorrow.

As I'm on the road, I didn't have many options for food or beverage at lunch - especially as a Friday during Lent - so I only had Sam Adams.

There are some crazy approaches and landings at MDW!

So I am realizing that my G1 is not that hot for use with corporate email. Should I go Blackberry (my hosted exchange service supports it) or one of the fun other HTC phones that support direct push?

I always feel bad for the people who live in the houses under the approach path. I feel like we're going to land on their roof so I can't even imagine how loud it is from inside the house.
