You could join us in PVR!

CO wants over $800. :(

The wife vetoed the mountains idea and wants a beach. Unfortunately, the HNL fare isn't available on the dates we would like, so the search continues...

I think the hardest part of repeating a trip is the first big AHHH moment never seems as good the second or third time.

That's true. In an interview that I read with an artist who always put people in his landscapes, he said the reason was that, for most people, recollections of places are really recollections of people they were with. But for spectacular scenery or truly exotic places, I don't know that that's true.

I probably lived most of my life in fast-forward because I always felt I had to see everything before I could settle back and explore the places that most interested me or even know what really makes me happy. Although seeing things through my kids eyes were the best part of being a parent (well until some of them turned teenagers:mad:).

You know a fare is high when the cheapest routing offered on CO.com is IAH-SAN-EWR-STT.

I put them on hold and selected the window seat. I have that whole week off, but if I remember correctly, the s/o does not. I will check with him and let you know if I ticket it. I booked them as two one-ways for the $10 in travel credits :)

I need to add up my planned EQM's to figure out how much I need.
