The trick is, is that I'm supposed to be staying at a Wyndham in the area for a work function. If I can find a hotel at or below the cost of the Wyndham I can dodge that :rolleyes:. The Hilton, which is like a block and a half from the Wyndham in question was the exact same rate until today. If I call Hilton and do a Diamond Force chances are I'll be paying rack, which will most likely have me sleeping in the parking garage for $1,000/night. Area SPG properties are about twice as expensive as the Wyndham. :rolleyes::rolleyes: |

The power of the box?
The Hilton thread I linked to earlier was hovering just above 200 views when I posted about it in the box.
In the span of about 90 minutes after I posted the link in the box it jumped up to over 700. In the past 20 minutes, it's had one subsequent page view (which is pretty typical for the generally very docile HHonors forum). |

Going on my first "work" trip with this company all the way to......Boston. This is for Schwab Impact and the only freakin hotel that has space available is a Marriott property. That is just about the only program I dont have status with :mad:.
I also assume that we will be taking Amtrak or some other means of transportation up there too. |
