I will have to keep this in mind. Although I've not a clue when or if I will ever visit Atlanta again.

My favorite stupid boycott is by far the anti-Arizona people.

Whether you're going to heaven or hell, if you're on DELTA, you're stopping in Atlanta.

Doesn't Ever Leave The [Atlanta] Airport

My friend. Some things in life are simply unavoidable. Death. Taxes. The Atlanta Airport...

Sure, and switching away from a BlackBerry to spite Jim Balsillie won't affect their stock price. I do it just to feel better...denial of revenue for reasons only marginally connected to reality makes me feel better.

Come to think of it, if I still carried cash and generated change I would make it a point to not circulate pennies.

SAN - ATL - IAH is certainly my most  routing.

The old joke about flying to HVN or HEL is still funny to those who speak IATA.

Looking for one more Hyatt Place night in BNA before the end of the month to get one more Park Hyatt night in the Big Welcome Back promotion. Not finding anything under $79.20 for a night (before tax). Sounds like I'll end up using two Costco certs and picking up dinner there ...

In that case, I think the exodus has already occurred.

Gives new meaning to a term we have at work in my team. "Dump and run."

This is notably better than the, "scoop and toss." :-:

It is all about location. I would book that rate immediately if it existed here in LA area...

Won't ever happen, until we invent teleportation. Too many remote/rural communities depend on the USPS for affordable shipping. Yes, it is subsidized, but those rural states have voters and senators, and enough of them to prevent the USPS from being dismantled.

If the USPS were done away with, many small communities would be left without meaningful access to shipping services.

Yep. And overall, they're pretty darn reliable and on-time.

My only real gripe with the post office is their website and its lack of up-to-date information on retail hours. That, and the fact that they hire the surliest, slowest people they can find to work their retail counters. Generally I don't have to use the counter though, so that's just a rare issue. But they've never lost something I either sent or was sent to me, and I've never have anything I've shipped with a premium service with them not arrive safe and sound and on time. And they're a lot cheaper than other services for many packages.

If SO gets the job in Chattanooga, you can be assured we would take extended trips to visit the $50 and $55 rates in ATL ;)

Funny thing is that's a derogatory term within the organization used to describe lazy consultants who show up, go through the motions, deliver a standard training session, don't really go into a lot of detail, don't bother to find out what the client really wants and needs and work to meet them, then e-mails a trip report and leaves. However, I find it quite appropriate for belynch's lunch today.
