Good morning Box.

I miss waking up to a Hyatt breakfast. :(

Atleast the house wasn't trashed while I was gone but then again the dishwasher wasn't emptied either. There were no dishes in the sink so I believe the family went out for every meal.

It is wonderful to be back home where the temperatures and humidity levels are perfect. I had forgotten just how humid the East Coast gets in the summer. :D

Fixed. :D

They have very specific rules about the ambient temperatures at which they will take on animals. I'm guessing there is more to the story but we'll probably never know.

Do airlines have any obligation to provide traveling pets with water? That itinerary seems to be way too much time to separate a pet with water.

Whataburger > IHOP.

Good thing I'm flying to Texas tonight. The mention of Whataburger now has me craving it. Might have to make a stop there on the trip between IAH and Nacanowhere tonight.

Teh s/o: I enjoyed Friday to be honest and Saturday was not all that bad. we should go to the P club (as your people call it) and drink there more often and get free stuff

Me: when we fly?

Teh s/o: no in general

Me: or do you mean just go to the airport for our own little happy hour?

Teh s/o: Yes, like we did Saturday. How can you go wrong with Grey Goose for $3?

:D:D:D
Your s/o is very cute!

Yes, true; I stand corrected. But the thing is body temp cooling with evap, and the tongue is the main one for that. Heat indices above around 107 without water can cause heat stroke in a damned short time.

This is another reason why my buddy the dog never flies. When he goes to DEN, we drive it. But those poor people coming from HNL would have had a hard time with that, I guess.

Yep. DC summer = Houston summer. The only difference is summer in Houston lasts about 8 months of the year, and in DC, it averages half that.

The recent temps in IAH have kept me from keeping our pup outside for long. She does alright in the evening but the mosquitoes are starting to show up again.

Goodness, I hope they do supply them with food and water on flights that long.

If you do intend to go to BRW, don't go in late summer. Apparently, the mosquitos breed in the surrounding freshwater lagoons, and clouds of billions of them are known to blot out teh sun.

That could be an average person's home in anywhereville, U.S.A. I'm sure this is all just a big misunderstanding (or will be, after piles of cash are paid to the Mexican Judiciary, and non-cooperative judges are "handled").

But you factor in the stress and fear they're under in a dark, totally alien environment, shoved around by strangers, and many of then won't do either even if offered.
