Hrm, the winning donut is "Monkey-see Monkey-donut," a banana foster creme filling, chocolate frosting w/Reese's peanut butter cup shaving on top of that. Meh.

I have a work trip tacked onto the Soccer DO and I dunno if I can make everything fit in my carry on. Sigh.

They will hold your BAG. I have done it many times at IAH no problem, YMMV!!

Hello, Box. Eking out the last few of the wretched grade comments at tjtenor4's parents' house. I need to remember that no matter how hot it is outside, I always need to pack long sleeves and layers when I'm coming here. Both of the parents are historians/archivists and used to spending lots of time in semi-polar climes, and they keep the house FREEZING.

hello box, just dropping in for a quick question... mwg25 is currently at CLE, and her flight to DCA was canceled... she has been rebooked on 5886, which appears to be sold out. any word on her chances of a bump?

thanks :)

Just an update on that story (thanks, dude, for thinking of the right resources! @:-)) - I did indeed get a confirmed seat on the next flight. Not everyone from the cancelled flight did. (I assume that the status helped somewhat.) Then the weather delays started kicking in. However, at that point, I started trying to get on a flight to IAD instead of DCA since we had to do a phantom SPG checkin in the Reston area. The GA's couldn't understand why I wanted it since that flight was delayed too, but finally they gave it to me...and <2 minutes later, that IAD flight got a landing slot and we boarded very quickly and took off. ^

Very sad that we couldn't actually STAY in the junior suite at the Westin last night, but this weekend I am definitely earning my first SPG FWN for the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge the night before Harvard-Yale. I get three stay credits and the ability to not have to drive into campus on game day, for less than the current lowest rate (which is not going to drop between now and November). ^ We'll save even more money on the following night at the W Boston. I don't think I have the heart to charge our friends anything for a share of a night we're getting for free, but...we'll see.

Thank you very much for the offer. :) It's so nice to have friends all over! I'm never worried about irrops in CLE because my parents are there as well...

Sounds like a good landing.

I've heard that a good landing is any you can walk away from.

A great one is any where you can use the airplane again. :-:

No kidding. All of those people are so unbelievably lucky. Wow.

BS office will store it for a while for you....I did that at DFW Wednesday.

My submission was some kind of New Orleans-themed thing, also incorporating the bananas foster. I'm definitely meh on the Reese's business, but I guess it's worth a try.

They'll remove it from the carousel when, by some subjective metric, all that will be immediately claimed are so. It'll be somewhere nearby in a group of others. Not a baggage office thing, generally.

Edit:
Just read a little more closely "...drinks with sfogate..." I'd say you don't have a thing to worry about.

They are suppose to remove any left over bags off the carousel and store them in the office. All you then need to do is show them an ID or your claim check stubs.

It's funny to me how nerds wear their usage of old, antiquated junk as a badge of honor. Most of society prides themselves on having the latest and greatest.

Although a little later, I had a Coleco Adam during college. It was enough of a word processor to get me thru undergrad.
