I saw a bunch of FedEx 727s parked in the desert at VCV last weekend.

ETA: I had one follower for my list. No longer. Whatever. I took a look at her list and it was all about peace studies crap. She was probably following me for a research project or something.

Followed.

It's more than just that. An agent at the airport was more than happy to change my flight from last night to tonight. At first she said it would be at least $150, i said no problem. A few mins later she realizes i'm a 1K and told me there would be no charge since i was on a higher fare and since there was space.

That would never happen with CO. At the end of the day, UA does take care of it's elites in the customer service realm. That is something CO used to be very good about when Gordo was around, but over the years they've taken a "Ze Rules are ze Rules" approach.

As arguably the widest read person in these parts, do you know anything about the video series of "The Great Indian Wars 1540-1890"?

The other half bought me the video as part of my Care Package before she left me to the heat and barnyard squalor. Haven't opened it (5 parts, 232 min), but it says it traces the confrontations from Coronado to Wounded Knee. Doesn't say where it first aired, though.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about FedEx any longer. They had a ton of them. DEN has a great view of cargo ramps, and I hadn't seen one in a while, but somebody said some are still active.

G'day box. I'm working an awful 2p-10p shift tonight and have to go back in for a 6a-2p on Saturday. I did not sleep that great because it was hot last night and now I am feeling like I am comming down with something :-:

My parents are in town - staying in the guest room. I woke up this morning and it was 68 degrees in our house - thanks mom. They know they are bad and tend to leave a little cash to cover their damage.^

Maybe someone got that mixed up with the MD-11 somehow :D

So you're advocating graft and payola?

good afternoon all. Only minor  this morning which was a surprise. A bit of a favor from everyone, as we approach a certain date, may we limit discussion (or just reference to) of the footie do and the earlier event of that day to 2.0, PM's and e-mails? There are reasons and some know the reasons.

+1. Even though, I have no time to read, and will have less time when/if I get this job.

Helen Thomas made a statement that "the Jews should go home..." when asked where that was she said "Poland and Germany and the U.S.".

I'll take "Things that make me think we need better history books" for $1000 Alex.

May have mentioned this before, but I sat next to a Center controller on an FL flight, back when they had some "Wendy's Cups = vouchers" promo and he was taking the whole family somewhere on cups. Problem was he couldn't get the reward dates to fit his vacation. Then either he or his boss called FL's chief pilot's office to see if they had any advice, and within 24 hours, his wife got a call and they got their dates. It's not graft and payola when you're being helpful and appreciative to someone who has your life, and your on-time stats, in their hands.
