Anyone know what the rough value of a SkyKit is for a generalissimo on a p.s. flight these days? Or on a SFO-SYD? Does *G come into play? IFE was INOP and they gave the whole economy cabin vouchers. I may have collected one from each of the FAs as they made their way through the cabin.

I got a 15$ voucher from B6 for working IFE the other day . The FA had warned us the TV did not work but then it was fine for the 3 hour flights.;)

BNA-DTW-AMS // CDG-IAD // DCA-MSP-BNA would be a slightly less traditional award.

Anyone who tries to transfer IAD-DCA in less than 24 hours is fool. At least until 2016 when the Silver  is alleged to be ready. Pro-tip: if you find yourself at IAD, just stay there and enjoy the LH lounge. It's your best bet.

Any idea how much you are supposed to tip movers? 2BR apartment, 1st floor, short walk to the truck.

Last time I did such, I tipped 50. Based on comments that was high, but one guy moved the full 2 bedroom, so seemed worth it at the time.

UPS/FedEx:

She writes 'US Mail' as the first line on the envelope and then gives me  when I point out the impending FAIL. Blond joke, anyone??

Probably a blond joke. But I can't make one for fear of being knifed

Dogfishhead Palo Santo Marron here. Solid beer and about the only worthy thing about DE.

An object lesson that whenever you can, get your F seat as far forward as possible. If you are in the back rows of FC when they do not exist any longer, you're the one who gets the downgrade.

I did call in asking for the night off and who knew that we are running an extra section to somewhere tonight.

Feel better soon.

Congrats and best of luck with the interview, photog72!

Thanks. I'll need all the luck I can handle.

Basically, I need to quell my photo library due to HD space and the easiest way is to delete duplicates and crappy photos and then move the others to an external.

Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure how much editing it'll let you do when you've only got a thumbnail. Never really played with that too much.

I can tell you that accessing the files from my NAS on my Macbook (connected via an 802.11n router and GigE to the NAS) is quite acceptable from a performance standpoint, even when dealing with 12MB raw files off my D300, so a USB connection will do you OK.

Domestic p.s. stuff you're likely to get a $200 ecert (domestic only) or 10,000 miles. For the TPAC $300 or more probably a 10-20% off cert for Intl travel.

In other words, I would be much smarter to apply the two I have to my SYD-SFO and SFO-SYD segments rather than to the JFK-SFO. I figured that might be the case. Thanks!

I suppose that's legitimate and efficient, given that it is IRROPS and anything goes, but it seems inequitable and out of character with CO's general procedures regarding benefits. LIFO or fare basis probably would keep down the number of angry emails.

To me, it seems exactly like CO. The system swaps the aircraft and tries to put everyone back in the same seats; so a 5A is still 5A but is now in Y instead of F. For rows that no longer exist, it picks the first available open spot. This is how my wife got moved from 5A (in Y) to 15B when we swapped to an aircraft with a larger F cabin.

Time for some quality time with my better half. Safe travels to sbm12 on his journey of lunacy (but not nearly as bad as J.Edward a couple of years ago). Night, Box.

My turn not to get the reference.

With this I must concur. I have seen no earthly reason to support Delaware's existence other than as a tax shelter and an easily marked spot for society's dimmer bulbs. The presence of Total Wine does much to sway my opinion. :-:

Would any of the PHL/New Jersey Box contingent be interested in crossing forum lines for an evening of beer and storytelling? One of the pilots in the UA pilot thread has a scheduling option that puts him at the PHL airport Marriott for 19 hours. I thought it would be nice to reach out.

That's what I meant by "efficient." But that economizing of programming doesn't translate to either equity or happy customers.

So do you actually edit the physical file while it sits on the NAS or do you pull it over to your computer to edit?

I'll have the pictures on either a FireWire or USB2.0 drive and my fear is buffering while editing the photos if they are remote.
