In other news, I'm officially an unofficial Hilton Diamond. I just called their customer service (who I have to commend, was phenomenally nice and helpful) and they said that although I've now completed the Diamond fast-track, until Hampton posts my stay for last night I won't be a Diamond. My stays the next two nights at Hiltons will continue to treat me as the generalisimo that I am.

The way of the Generalissimo is the way to go ^

That is decidedly unappetizing.

Was reading the Las Vegas Review Journal and learned about how the government is banning chicken costumes at polling stations. But you can stilldress as Uncle Sam or Freddy Krueger! Does this really need to be legislated?

I thought of you yesterday. In addition to my FAMily companions there was a perro yelping the whole trip.

Thankfully I had my "noise reduction" earbuds. :-::-:

Regarding Hilton Diamond, I don't intend on keeping it beyond the year. I'm milking the program for my honeymoon because of the MLE options. The free breakfasts and other amenities we'll get at the Conrad will make this whole venture worth it and then I'll use it to comp over to SPG Plat. (unless you're an SPG Insider, in which case you didn't see anything).

The challenge with not maintaining status at Hilton for me is, all of my coworkers are Hilton wh:eek:res and the vast majority of our company rate properties are Hilton branded. They are, literally, everywhere I go. When I tried to focus on SPG in years past I'd often end-up just shy of Plat. (I think I had like 23 stays last year) and mid-tier at Hilton, Hyatt, and off and on Marriott, which was pointless on just about every level.

I'll see how the Hilton experiment goes.

The reason I most likely didn't get the up to Diamond this a.m. is that I'm on an unsolicited challenge. I'm going to call again later and see if a different agent will be a little more :-: before I check-in at tonight's tree tree.

It does create interesting discussions:

"I'm going to go fix the slug wrapper today."

"I had to handle a lot of slugs because the line broke down."

"That slug of Ritz had way too much salt."

"That wrapper is making double slugs."

ROFL. CO.com wants $2,500 for a B fare to YVR over X-Mas.

FT Lurker May 27, 2010 7:53 am

From this week's #FAIL file:

After a great evening dinner of dinner and drinks, I witnessed a purse snatching on the walk home. A few Good Samaritans pursued the perp, but to no avail. I gave up after two blocks of sprinting.

When I got home, I booted. :(

Time to start working out.

Good Morning, Box.
