Delicious dinner tonight. We had lobster rolls at the "other" known destination for them in NYC. We spent much of the meal debating which were better. We briefly considered going to the other place for "dessert" before settling on a banana trifle of sorts with some of the chocolate from the hot fudge sundae.
I'm stuffed. |

So far 4 hours into my shift. Only one call so far... some middle school girls having a sleepover singing the song "Somebody Call 911" and well someone did. Now I am watching the Yanks vs Mets and working on vacation days for the SMD2 ^

Mileage run. First three flights delayed. If this doesn't go I might as well go home.

I can't remember just how many years I've been doing this stuff but do remember my original training gave some hotel points which was worth the deadly training. I wrote the first code on a VAX years ago creating one of the first primative DB's in the company. I also preceed the internet and worked with a group to create our first intranet so things like Gopher have meaning to me. I think all the documentation for many things only resides in my head at this point:rolleyes:
Gopher? Do you remember archie? Fortunately I managed to stay away from most Vaxen. Though I had my fair share of IBM and Sperry mainframes. |
