Dinner was a nice salad and juice, after I ran three miles at the hotel. Breakfast and lunch vouchers have an unknown dispensation, considering I'll go straight to the SkyClub for coffee. And I can always see if there's more VDB possibilities and/or consider an SDC. While I am not a CR2 fan, the $400 travel voucher on a $150 itinerary and the re-booking into full Y definitely make up for the "inconvenience". Besides, I only have to show up in the office one day a week over the summer :D

Seventy minutes before push, they had three GA's trying to sort out the IDB order when I walked to the counter - they were happy to process me immediately (a first in my experience). I had picked up dinner, called the hotel shuttle, checked in to the hotel, and was in gym clothes on one of the fitness center's treadmills before the original flight time.

You've done pretty good so far this year. I am at $0. Most of my flights have been pretty empty and Im at 100% on all eligible upgrades on CO and DL.

They have discretion for a nobody like me, too. I was in my room - the HGI, I think - at JAX well prior to departure last August. And I requested that hotel specifically to get the points.

Agreed. You did very well but around here, we expect nothing less of you. :)

It is interesting to note that in more than 30 years of flying, I have never been involuntarily bumped nor have I was ever needed for the VDB those two or three times that I did in fact volunteer. :rolleyes:
