Aye, my goal is to have enough laying around for a saverpass trip to LHR so I can fly for free and we'll buy a hopefully discounted BF ticket for my wife, and then stay at Marriott properties for free.

I've got a nice nest egg of Hilton points. Have enough for an AA ticket too so I'm hoping for some good opportunities since I'll either have a massive amount of vacation to squander or be unemployed soon.:(

I'm shooting for an end-of Master's program trip for Mrs. Mackie and I.

I still can't see that happening, but only time will tell...

I hate it when that happens.

I guess I should have purchased the $3,4:rolleyes::rolleyes: all inclusive coverage that provided for tire repair. :D

Turns out, people can't seem to answer emails in a timely manner.

BF on CO82 is now completely booked.

I need to leave from EWR, since my mother-in-law is arriving there only a few hours before 82 departs. Since I'll be missing the first week of her visit due to this last minute trip, it would be "a good idea" for me to at least greet her when she arrives.

But, it looks like the only nonstop business-class option that will get me there on time is AI102, departing from JFK. BA188 and BA143 could get me there from EWR with a 1h stop in LHR. Even if BA isn't out of policy, the +$5212 fare difference probably rules it out.

So, now it's decision time: (1) Suck it up and spend 15 hours in CO's legendary Y seat, or (2) angry wife.

Can't imagine 15 hours in CO's Y, so I'll go with angry wife behind door #2.

JFK and SFO. I think it's also for business class customers, but I am not 100% sure.

C get RCC; F get IFL at JFK.

Yup. I'm thinking pooled miles in my future (enough for a serious trip or two:D)

Since CO dropped B&N, the next book order will be via the UA mall. 3.5:$ is not as good, but it's still better than zero.

This reminds me of Lewis Black's take on the 2004 election. "You had a choice of two bowls of $hit, and the only difference was the smell."

Welcome to Teh Box, marklyon.

New UA Chase card is slightly thinner! Bring on the miles:D

Back to work. At least I'm not yawning and waiting on a single thing to happen like last night. The cash flow into the tip box has been excellent so far today, so hopefully my cash flow to my balance transfer will be that much better. ^^

I've been patiently waiting for the first time home buyer credit to show up.

I got a letter for the second time from the IRS stating they need something else. It'll now take another eight weeks to process.
