Did you look\listen to Weston?

I didn't evaluate Westone. I've heard they're pretty similar to Shure in terms of sound signature, in part because a lot of Westone folks are ex-Shure people.

In the past, I've had:
Shure e2
Shure e3
Ultimate Ears super.fi 5Pro
Shure SE530

I've listened to Etymotics, and I didn't really like them as much.

I loved my Shure buds. Can't remember if they were e2 or e3, they were about $150 and bar none the best headphone ever.

Morning, Box.

Morning Box.

Looks like it's going to be a loooong day here. Everyone in the office is trained and I haven't had a question since yesterday afternoon. Yet, we are contractually obligated with this client to be on site until market close. They are paying for training, so I can't really begrudge them this, but still if this is indicative of the rest of the rollout, it's going to be a very long year.

Looks like you have a lot of input already belynch, but I'm going to throw one more into the mix. I recently bought a pair of Monster Turbines. They call them in ear speakers , but they do sound good for the price, $149 at J&R. I was getting tired of losing or wearing out the $300-400 ones. These sound almost as good as the $300 Etymotic ER-4s I had before these, although the Etymotics were a little better with blocking really loud outside noises, but I can live with it for the price.

Does Woof Air status match?

I actually ran across those in my research last night and 'ed at the name.

I think my goal is to get a "good" pair at less than $100. Based on my donations of laptop, iPod, and phone chargers I've strategically placed across the fleet of Hertz and Avis rental cars, I know my own limitations and need to keep my stupidity in-line with my purchase behavior.

Thanks for the input though.

I guess I'm weird (like that's going to shock anyone).

I could not wear noise-canceling earphones on a plane, or anywhere else except at home where I don't need them. Not being able to hear what goes on around me inhibits my situational awareness and that makes me a sad panda.

I left a brand new set of screwdrivers in a car this past weekend.

This is a grave injustice that should be rectified and then celebrated over a dinner of lamb chops. :-:
