My warantee is with geeksquad. I was hoping my in home technical support would be of more service, but he wasn't. My tech wizard neighbor told me it was in the computer and he didn't think he could fix it. I'm very open to the box's help :)

Waiting now for dinner to show up. It is desperately needed, even if half of it becomes breakfast tomorrow.

could always try the dumbwaiter

Is it a laptop or desktop, if it is the latter then you can just replace the power supply.

That happened to me and turns out I chipped it. but since it didn't hurt the dentist just smoothed it out.

Laptop. I have tried two separate power cords; the plug in area feels loose and the fit of the power cord when I plug it in is not the same. I noticed when I was using it earlier today, that I had it plugged in, but it kept showing I was on battery instead of being plugged in. Then no matter what I did, it only showed battery.

I'm a little sensitive to hot and cold but it doesn't hurt. I'm not sure if this is the same one I broke years ago and the filling that was put on let go or if it's on the other side. I think the box is prone to dental problems:eek:

Oh, yeah that is not good. Replacing that part on some laptops is almost impossible.

My Dell laptop was killed because of that. I didn't really feel like disassembling it and trying to solder the charging port to the motherboard. It really makes me appreciate the magnetic plug on the MacBook. It's the first laptop I had that was engineered to be portable. :-:

I reviewed the summer releases and they all stink. :td: I don't go to the theater all that often, but I like to take in a summer movie or two. I don't think I'll pick one out all this summer.

Yeah, I have snagged the wire a few times and the magnet saved the day.
