Although denial is a very powerful thing. I'd say 80% of the time I respond to someone in their teens - 30's who is passed out with depressed resperations, I ask a family member (if present) if there is a history of drug use and they tell me either "no" or "he's been clean since rehab." A second later I'll find an uncapped needle within 2 feet of the person as well as obvious track marks. You have to be trying to not see this stuff.
