Yes, if you want Italian go to Arthur Ave in Bronx, not in SAN :D

Arthur Avenue rules. ^ My aunt lived close to there and was known to trade out car and home repairs for roasted red peppers.

They have a goodie bag you get in F, to store all the kits and amenities they give you. It is very cool, and yes they do have PJs in F.

I really want to get to Abu Dhabi next year, but I am receiving strong opposition from the s/o because it is the Middle East.

Today in History: In 1997, IBM's supercomputer Deep Blue spanked world champion Garry Kasparov in a game of Chess.

I agree. Plus a vested date means the value of the award on said date. It seems fishy that they can pretty much choose whatever value they want.

However, if you're vesting stock is by value (e.g. you're getting $10K worth of stock no matter what) it shouldn't matter what the price is and it's better for you since you received more shares a a depressed price.

Sadly, no, I'm not getting stock by value. I'm just getting a set number of shares, the value of which seems to be dropping more often than it rises.

You need to work on that.

Meh. The UAE and Qatar are (outwardly anyway) two of the most Westernized nations in the Middle East. They do a very good impersonation of being sympathetic to the West and attracting Western tourism dollars.

She is a GA and I have confirmed with her that she has discretion on who to upgrade. I will be pulling some shenanigans with her if I ever have the chance to fly IAH-DXB. She said that they are always forced to upgrade people due to oversells but there are a few people that fly often enough and sweeten the deal for her ;)

Qatar has recently become  due to their new visa requirements, but I still agree with your statement. DXB and AUH are like night and day as far as culture, but both are still very welcoming to tourism, especially Dubai.
