Where did you hear about the details. I hadn't heard about PHL. Rumors of Chelsea also being in PHL and other teams up in Harrison.

Sorry, I'm sure I didn't write it properly! :o Bit of a braincloud. I should know my schedule today or tomorrow and hopefully we can arrange a mini do.

So...I just want to get it straight...am I driving down to Philly tomorrow night or not? I was also supposed to meet up with a friend who's in town for an interview, but it just got pushed back to Monday, so in any case I'd have to make two trips. And I'm not around next weekend. If there is something going on tomorrow night, that would be awesome, but if not, that's fine.

The link doesn't identify it; is this the lamp in that movie (don't remember the cast beyond Darryn McGavin) A Christmas Story?

AKA "CLE's only major point of recognition in pop culture, with the possible exception of Drew Carey?" I think so...

Are you a participant or a guest? If the latter, ^ - there are precious few black-tie-dress-code weddings these days, at least in my sphere, and it's a shame. I can't do it for mine because it's summer and too early in the day, alas.

Any fútbol fans out there? Looks like Man U will play in YYZ, PHL, MCI, and HOU.^ In HOU, they're going to play in the MLS All-Star game. They will play against the best the MLS has to offer. I think a couple of 'Box fútbol DOs will need to be held.@:-)

I have no love for Man U (the Yankees of their league), but overall, that's pretty cool. That being said, while they'll bring in a lot of exposure (and money) to the MLS All-Star game, I question whether that was the right team to choose - it would not look good if "the best the MLS has to offer" gets absolutely slaughtered, or if their support is dwarfed by that for the visiting team (which seems to me like it might be a real possibility).

CPH and OSL are under $400 out of EWR as well. Some very nice deals...

ETA: Beware, these are LH L fares which don't appear to earn miles with CO.

Thanks mwg25! The whole purpose of this trip is to see friends and enjoy pubs and beers... so you just can't beat that. :)

I'll give you a full report next week!

It seems I might have a lot of premier league teams in the area this July. Manchester United (Philly) , Manchester City & Tottenham (Harrison) and Chelsea (philly or chester)
