Is the doom and gloom report by weatherboy?

Have you had much in the way of classes with the flooding?

Wow. After ~15 months on FT, I have gotten my average up to ALMOST 2 posts per day. And I dare say that over 75% of that is in the box.

My average has only recently climbed above 10/day. Part of that is because I had a couple years where I basically never posted.

Not really. I've seen some of the numbers for the charter flights and they look quite promising. I think that we'll hit the previously announced goal of having the charter pricing come out where it did last year (though F will be more than the E+ offered last year). Even if CO metal we'll have 3 classes of service, with blocked middle seats for E+. If UA metal we'll obviously have all 4 classes available.

I was not up to speed on last years pricing. Is the $600 just for JFK-FRA-IAH or does that include the TATL flight and the domestic charter (JFK-FRA-IAH-PHX-PAE-IAH/ORD).

Without being a , is it ok for me to ask what a ballpark J fare might be? I don't need specifics, but a range would be most helpful for planning purposes.

Time to get ready to go work half a day and then work from home during the afternoon, waiting on the a/c repair dude.

I remember reading somewhere that it would be about $3K. I need to buy two tickets, so this is out of the question for me. I will have to tough it out in E+/E-

I suppose I should've clarified that I meant for the charter portion. The TATL is all but out of the question for me (Mrs. Mackie would kill me for going to Europe without her) but I might be able to pull off the US portion, which is still going to be an absolute blast from the sound of it.

The charter pricing is for the IAH-PHX-PAE-(IAH/ORD) segments only, and it was much closer to $700 in Y than $600.

For the domestic charter or the international?

That is for the international flights. If you want to just do the US stuff it will be less than that. And the international flights will not have E+ as there will not be a UA component.

What would you expect to pay for the Int'l Flights in Y?

I have been meaning to post this pic in that FA stole my shrimp thread.

This was the s/o’s meal on a flight we had a few months ago. I count at least 10 shrimps ;)

Yeah, I should've been clearer: for the domestic charter.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.591 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

The international Y price we got is around $6-700, booked in W/S. See on those flights will be closer to $3K.

Today is the 65th anniversary of Kazakh independence. Air Astana just sent me an email noting that they are offering veterans free travel. I wonder if that includes assassins. :)
