I assumed they got rid of all the rats when they renovated this club. How silly of me to make such assumptions. :p

As for ground handling, they are like all other Colgan-only stations in that they have only a handful of employees, and it takes everyone's effort to get a plane turned. Most small stations are bad about this. Often they are focused on getting the planed turned as quickly as possible, which means bags don't go to bag claim until the outbound flight is loaded. It is frustrating, but I've seen it plenty of times at TYR, BPT, LBB, AMA, MAF, DRT, HSV, BTR… It's not at all uncommon for this to happen at smaller stations. Again, the business about sending all bags to bag claim seems to be a newer thing, but I've witnessed it at other Colgan stations as well, including BPT.

It's not such a big deal if you're arriving in the evening and the plane is going to overnight. Then the bags are super fast since they're only unloading.

I still much prefer TYR to many other airports of its size. Small airports all tend to suffer from the same set of problems, but at least TYR is new, modern, spacious, clean, and comfortable. I can't say the same about most airports in this country that are of similar size and passenger count.

TYR may not be the suck, but it is not the non suck :)

I'm glad I don't generally frequent the "airports" you two regularly seem to visit. :D

At this point I'm mostly doing ATL-IAH and back the rest of the year. Next week I do hit BPT, and I'll probably toss a CLL flight in on one of those trips just for the new airport and line. But I'm mostly working within a short drive of Houston the rest of the year.

Did you lose both copies they sent this year? I got two but dont recall the reason. within weeks of each other!

Who was the regional carrier? If SkyWest, you can haz in three months from BTS.gov. If not, there's a chance it sent an ACARS message in-flight, and that ACARSD.org will have the info in about 3 days.

While your waiting in the RCC ask at the desk, they sometimes have the information!
