For anyone who may be interested, there are some decent UA routings on EWR-LAX for ~$230. I played with ITA a little for some dates in May and found EWR-ORD-TUL-DEN-LAX-FAT-SFO-EWR (6272 EQMs) leaving on a Saturday and returning on a redeye.

I'm looking at a few options now. It seems that the flights which were $400 r/t yesterday are now $250ish. I'm very happy about that.

Looks like I'm flying in to LAX and out of BUR and will have a friend in the BUR area drop me at the airport. Much better solution.

I do not like your random prediction :-:

On a weekday, you can take the Metrolinkto the FlyAway which I have done in the past.

ONT, SNA, and LGB are bus only.

I think it will go the other way and UA will eventually be free. Come on, even US went to free booze... :)

The other scenario I could potentially see would be to meet in the middle (and match US) by offering free beer and wine while charging for the hard stuff.

If the PC started charging for alcohol, I would probably cancel my PC membership.

I dont think this will be the case. I understand that we are to get two drink coupons upon entering a UA Club as CO Pc members. I havent gotten firm confirmation of this but was told by a UA RCC person this information.

Definitely not true at LGA. I think the RCC's with P-Club temp agents will do this but its few and far between.

If I knew I could secure E+ now, I would be all over that. All mainline?

Is it bad that the only green socks I could find to wear today came from an Alitalia business class pack?

E+ would also be a big selling point for me. I'm not going to jump on it, but figured I would pass it on in case someone else was interested. I'm not sure on the equipment, but with FAT (and possibly TUL), I would imagine there are some RJs and/or props.

sbm12 Mar 17, 2010 11:06 am

Can I book using a UA VDB voucher online? If so, how?

Thanks for sharing with the gaggling flock

I think I will run this by the s/o. He needs to get to SNA in April or May and I was going to tag along, but the RJ's and/or props are going to be a tough sell.

Yes - I did go with a green shirt today (in addition to the environmental economics bracelet).
