Where did you go?

La Teresita. Pretty good overall, and ridiculously cheap. Like $17/person and we were stuffed with food left on the table.

It was very good. Even with smoked cheddar!

We will be eating at home this week as well. With my unexpected week at home, I'm looking forward to some home cooking... and some healthier choices.

Have fun with your Hubby!!

EARLY morning greetings box, from the lobby at the 4pts LAX

My connection from COPA's PTY flight to CO's LAX's redeye to IAH did not go well. I screwed up large

CM302 arrived as scheduled at 11pm
The bus over to TBIT took a while but I was first through Passport control, Customs apparently missed the memo that a flight was due in and it took awhile for them to get things in order. Had a small Q&A session and made it outside.
Decided I had enough time to catch Bus A, which was not my original plan.
Original plan was to walk over to T6
Well I got antsy since i had just missed an A bus, hoped on the Parking lot C bus, just knowing they would stop at T6. They did, sorta, except it was T5 then straight to the parking lot. Why I didn't bail there, I'll never know
I got to see all of the lovely Parking Lot C, we were touring zone a32 while my planned flight was boarding

Called OP line, they were willing to charge(a LOT) for changing to a later flight as I hadn't officially missed my flight yet, they suggested getting to Ticket counter and let agent work on it

Arrived at ticket counter about 12:20, no one was home. All closed up till the morning.

Called OP line back after I had officially missed flight, still will not confirm me a seat without paying fare difference.

Looks like choice is to just get back to airport early and "hope", I guess for stand-by. Seems IAH-RDU is full,on many\most flights, which is creating issues.

there's a
7a to IAH, showing plenty of seats
a 715a to CLE-showing 10 seats
a 7a to EWR-5 listed

UA has a couple going out around 6-wonder if they'll take a CO pnr

Thank goodness 4pts is close by and the bar stays open late

Sorry to hear about your mis-adventures in the states!! Hope all turns out ok today!

A 65 year old would feel young on that bus ride.

I'm in Port St. Lucie right now, then I head down to Miami tomorrow morning for the interview. I managed to score a relatively inexpensive hotel on South Beach (Doubletree South Beach for $133 all-in for 1 night, not too bad for peak season), then flying out on a FLL-EWR CO flight (which is spiraling towards oversale as we speak ;) ) mid-day Tuesday.

Good luck with the interview.

Hmm ... sounds interesting ... We make pancakes from scratch (flour, baking powder, salt, and milk) ... what does one add for malted pancakes?

windwalker Mar 7, 2010 7:47 am

Well no hublet in my travel plans after all, seems there are many people wanting to get to RDU-nothing from IAH or CLE, which left EWR.
So hello from 19F
In the good news front- I am #3 on da list out of 32 or so and I did make it in PC where several cocktails were consumed in short order

I am praying to the middle seat gods that I will not get squished.
