Just checked into the Country Inn & Suites in Long Island City. We got upgraded to a studio suite as they said they didnt have any 1br suites. Got up to the room and wow, its really big and nice. Not bad at all for $71 a/i.

I did experience some shennanigans though becuase their website will allow me to book a 1br suite .

Anyone going to be at EWR this afternoon? I have to go pick up a Mini-Van to move some small stuff. I managed to get it for $65/day a/i while LGA was $170/day a/i.

Allegedly they have them at Costco so you could get one and try it out for 90 days with their lovely return policy. ;)

That would probably be my game plan, as well!

Beating out the person who asked about Charlie Rangel at the just-occurred press conference about the severity of the Chilean Earthquake?

I sure am impressed. Reminds me of a suite in at Hampton Inn & Suites. Not sure if I'll be switching loyalty as this hotel is less than a year old and probably better than most.
