I CO rebooking me on different US flights than I am scheduled or would move to with my ticketed reservation. This one is BNA-DCA-LGA so would have less chance of not making it!!

Yeah, they can do that. Although in Rio it seems they are much more relaxed than in GRU, where they x-ray EVERY bag.

They are still expecting snow in the morning. I don't know how that will effect air travel. E175 should do well but a A320 will do better than the 175. I know that doesn't really help.

Looking at a report at EWR parking lot and it's slushy.

Well If i do the earlier flight I then have two flights to get me to JFK vs one and I also can do alternative airports in the NYC area and alternative flights!!

I think I will get up at the butt crack of dawn and do that option.

Enjoy the sun! It is much better than the snow and gloom here.

That is the case, but still silly. If anything they should do what Argentina is now doing, which is to require US visitors to pay a entry "fee" thats valid for 10 years thereafter, in essence the same as a visa, but without the BS that comes with getting your behind to a Brazilian consulate.

That's true w/my experience, as well! Boa Sorte!^ The funniest thing w/my experiences w/alfandega is that they can't figure out why I speak Portuguese -- when they see that I am an American!;):D The other thing is when I used to fly back to NJ for 'supply replenishment' trips ie. stuff for the kiddies -- & alfandega would open up my suitcases & just laugh at all the Kraft M & C boxes, peanut butter, toys, etc. that I was 'trafficking'!:D:D:D:rolleyes:
