I meant to start a thread about that - we need to get a shower installed at the hottest "hub" in the CO network.

I talked to a guy who works for CM Hub Ops at the end of my flight. I was wearing one of my B6 shirts and he noticed. He used to work for them and now works for CM, commuting between JFK and PTY every week. His trip home last weekend with his son was like one of our runs - Friday late-night inbound arriving on Saturday at 2am and headed back south at 5am on Sunday. Anywho, he mentioned expansion at PTY and apparently the airport is planning to grow by about 15 gates to deal with the peak loads there. I mentioned the PC and the shower issue - based on the comments LHRHombre made during his last run - and he suggested that the PC is going to get bigger but that he had no knowledge of showers coming in. He didn't deny but also couldn't confirm. When I asked about construction at the PC the lovely ladies there had no idea what I was talking about.

So very, very, very much beer tonight. I'm sloshed. Typing without typos was way harder than it should have been.

Why am I listening to NBC announcers talking about the "early morning light" while watching the Olymipcs at 9pm local. Thanks for the ridiculous tape delay, jackasses.

Same tape delay led to watching curling last night ...

But it is axiomatic that when you have had the proper amount of beer, you cannot type without typos. Therefore, ipso facto, you have not as of yet consumed enough beer.

Well, tape delay and the fact the alternative was ice dancing.

There were many edits before I clicked on the "submit reply" button.

Plus, I just corrected a typo that I missed in the three proof-reading edits previously made. :o

Oh, and I'm pretty functional even when well beyond sloshed. So typing while drunk actually isn't that crazy for me. :p

So, all things considered, after all that typing it must be getting on time for the next beer.

Hate to say it but that is historically the normal short final approach. The difference lately has been altitude; they've been coming in a bit lower. I see them come in with their gear down sometimes but have seen the gear up as well.

The weather is the only thing I can think of that would cause the sudden change in altitudes.

I believe NBC is going to go live at the Olympics shortly (for 1,000 short track). Well, the quarters are recorded but the semis start at 10:28 Eastern.

Plus A Million.

Local coverage on the West Coast doesn't begin until 8pm local time. By then every event is finished. I am not a happy camper. I really thought that tonight's show would be broadcast would be live since it's the weekend.

I will watch the Olympics for the first time tomorrow when the man drops the puck for Russia v Czech and then for USA v Canada.

Sounds like a big-time doubleheader to me.

Went to the transfer station (dump) today. We had 5K pounds of construction debris from the bathroom, that's in addition to the 6K we dumped a few months ago from the kitchen.

Is there a photo of that out there somewhere?? Did I post it????

I took it off when I got home, trying to pretend to be sober for the missus. I failed at the latter pretty badly though I am now drinking copious amounts of water in an attempt to sleep reasonably well tonight.
