$88.42 taxes and fees on a 182 fare seems like an awful lot!!!

Mr.carsonheim is the same way... lots of stuff that we clearly don't need. yesterday i pointed out to him that some of the magazines he's holding on to so he can read them later are now 20 years old!!!

Tax: US September 11th Security Fee $2.50
Tax: US Passenger Facility Charge $4.50
Tax: US International Departure Tax $16.10
Tax: Costa Rica Tourism Tax $15.00
Tax: Costa Rica Security Fee $2.38
Tax: Costa Rica Common Area User Charge $3.34
Tax: US International Arrival Tax $16.10
Tax: US Customs Fee $5.50
Tax: US Immigration Fee $7.00
Tax: USDA APHIS Fee $5.00

Most of it goes to the US government. And it is pretty much the same on any international trip, with the exception of Canadian destinations within 150 miles of the border. That's further evidence of the fact that Canada really is like the 51st state. :p

And it goes as low as $245 if you're willing to travel mid-week.

My husband is just as silly. He has boxes full of his elementary school work thru college. Atleast they are neatly stored in a corner of the garage but he did ask me once to do something with my one box that I was storing near his pile. He got the look of death and returned my box to the pile.

:) :) That does ring some bells.

Exactly 7 1/2 years since we moved out of NJ and in NY we have about a dozen boxes to unpack.

In Florida, it is the same 7 1/2 years and there we still need to buy some more furniture and open all the boxes.

And we still have a large garage sized mini-warehouse in Piscataway which is running out of room.
